if there are clubs in your area, there are often times very good litters bred by "not" famous breeders that you will probably never hear about. so that is one area to check out. a
specific color kind of narrows down the field some, but nothing wrong with black or preferring one. the most important part of this is going to be finding a good, honest breeder. and my definition of a good breeder (if interested) is as follows. well I'm going to post it whether interested or not. :}.
first, of course is they health test, and it's getting to the point that DM should be considered.
second, it's not that they have dogs good for every possible senario, it's that they participate and have experience in the areas they say their dogs are bred for, preferably for a long time and have some success. anybody can now buy titled dogs, breed them and advertise them as good for protection, sport and LE. but really, if they have not participated in those areas, they are just pumping out BS and selling puppies.
also, an experienced/proven participate in thesr areas will recognize pups drive, dominance, confidence level, etc.

I have needed a new kitchen range for the last month and can't pull the trigger because maybe there is a store I haven't visited, a review I haven't read or maybe a sale I'm missing.
we all have our personal burdens to bear.
here's hoping you find the perfect new addition to your family,
Rik
