In 2017, there are currently about a half dozen GSD's to accomplish in the history of USA competitive herding . Only four known owner/handlers have produced triple Crown Herders to date three of these, are from the area of old Mission San Luis Rey in the north San Diego and western Riverside County areas of California. One of these includes San Jacinto's sires owner handler/trainer- Dorothy DeLisle , now working primarily with Australian Shepherds Breed.

 

September 23, 2017- earned his Herding Trial Championship from American Herding Breed Association In Pleasant Grove. California on an advanced Herding Ranch Dog (HRDIII) 'mixed flock" course of sheep and goats, run time 23 minutes.

 

February 2017 - earned his Herding Championship title on a C Course traditional tending breed, AKC knock off course of original German HGH trials. He also earned his Master title on same run- run-time 22 minutes

 

May 2015 - earned his Working Trial Championship title in the Australian Shepherd Club of America Stockdog Program. He became the 12th GSD WTCH since the beginning of ASCA WTCH program. He laso became th yongest GSD to eanr an advacned Cattle title at 26 months of gae and comepter his WTCH at 29 months of age- the youngest age of a GSD WTCH. The significance of this venue is that it stresses stock working ethic, sense and drive as well as working relationship with handler. This venue also REQUIRES ADVANCED Tiltles be attained on all three stock types sheep/goats, ducks/geese, and cattle. Typically GSD herding teams go after an ASCA WTCH after much trialing and training. Cattle can casue significant injury to any herding dog, especially a large standing loose eyed breed that was originaally bred - not to use preatory eye to  intimidate stock into controlled movement but to  work in close like a  bumper  to keep the stock on track. The GSD makes and easy target for cattle. The average of GSD WTChs before San Jacinto was 6-7 years of age. San Jacintos power, abilty to take kicks and continue working cattle demonstrates his true courage and  intensity on  being a  working herding German Shpeherd. He also showed his intuitiveness by  avoiding similar "situtations"  and coming back with a controlled "authority" . His fine switch between  controlled aggession to recalcitrant stock balances with the abilty to de-escalate when stock contol was re-established.
