This was my Dane at that time. I had to give him up when I was in the Army for 4 years. Have always wondered what became of him.
Anyone know anything about him?

I'm *assuming* you already checked with the breeder and whoever you gave/sold him to... and that you've looked at his pedigree on PGD anch checked for offspring... and maybe contacted other owners of dogs from the same litter.

I googled the name without the 1967 inside quotation marks and it looks like the pic here is posted some other places. In one, the dog is called George. Don't know if any/all of the pics might be yours, or if someone is using your pic without permission.

In images, click on the pic, and the other places using the pic pop up.

If he was AKC registered and transfer papers were done, you may be able to trace him via them. If you surrendered to a rescue or shelter, they may have a policy to not release any information. OTOH, they might give you an idea of what kind of home he went to, but not the name, address, etc. of the new owner.

If he was microchipped, you might also be able to track him via the microchip company.

Also search the health certification sites (OFA, etc.) and the various dog databases around the web. And any Great Dane/competition/show clubs in the area where you lived at the time.  And petfinder, etc. (adoption websites) if the dog is/could be alive.

You may have to try finding the person you gave/sold him to if you've lost contact. This may or may not be easy, depending on what information about the person is on the web or local sources.  If you have to resort to a private detective, it will be expensive.
