Reggie I  was thinking about this post of yours about me. You have said: "You are right I have made many assumptions.  One was that I used to think that you might know what you are talking about.  I told you I try to think the best of people.  And many of the statements that you have made in the past to others,  I tried to rationalize away.  but your thinking is very flawed. "

I will say this to that. Yes I and  God knows I  am flawed man and yes I make mistakes. All the time!!! In discussion it is up to you to tell me what you think that they are.

Also i am not here to make friends and   kiss ass. I am sure you figured that out by now. I am here to say what I think and what my opinion is    on atopic at the hand  . But I know well that  to grasp the complexity and entirety of true is not possible. Only God can do that. But since the "truth" is enigma I may be wrong and you may disagree. That is OK! To me it is about being  clear to you on what my opinion is and not about changing your mind. That you and I got to do your self. You can tell me where and I'll see if your point is valid and if it is I promise I will change my view of the issue.  If I think that you are wrong then I'll tell you what I think that. back and forth.  But do not mistake and equate my disagreeing with what you think, with not liking you. Many people make this mistake here. I do not.  Often the adage here is; if you disagree  with me tha that means that you ahte ma thus from now on  I will hate you.

I hope that if a first time buyer was trying to use this chat room for information we could tell that person the ear marks of a ''puppy mill'' and not get so personal. My first pup came from a back yard breeder who was proud that his sire had more breedings than most of the local AKC champion GSD. This breeder got involved with the GSD world past the AKC ring and grew tremediously, into an expert. Growth thru the network is key. beginner thru expert.

Let me say a couple of things here.  Do I like Kimbertal and their breeding practices? no not at all.  Are they a puppy mill?  By definition no they are not.  By definition a puppy mill puts money ahead of the health of the pup.  The pups are usually in very poor health, always in the cages and very little if any exercise.  I honestly don't believe that is the case with them.  Do they breed a lot of dogs?  Yes.  Are they very choosey about where they sell the dogs? Not from my understanding.  A kennel that produces great quantities of dogs is not automatically a puppy mill.  They will never be a breeder that I personally would buy from.  But then again I can say that about a lot of kennels.

Well for what it is worth. If I would be in market for a Doberman I would drive to Kimbertal all the way from AZ and get me one there. I would make it an vacation. Rott I would get from my friend Jim Laubmeier.  I would make those choices because I know what I would get.

reggie said acusing me of incosistencies.:

Ok inconsistencies

you say Kimbertal was better then most then you turn around and say their dogs are to big.

Where is an inconsistency? Yes their dogs are better them most and yes they are upper standard or oversized. FYI:   Size is not on top priority or only thing on the list of judging working dogs. I can put any number of more important characteristics above it. Like  temperament and health and proportions and hips and elbows and missing teeth andand missing testicles  and ......and on and on. If you think that there is a breeder who produces perfect dog then you are making mistake .

Perfect?  No.  Better then what Kimbertal produces?  Yes.  I named three That are several standards above.  Not even close to the same catagory.

Hans If I am looking to buy a dog then comparison is very important.  It is only by comparing one product to another that you find the one that best fits your needs.  I am not a breeder nor will I be.  And with Dobermans its not lack of experience or lack of ability to care for them.  I have both in that area.  There just is no need for me to breed when I know I can acquire exactly what I want from people whom I respect.  People who do all the health testing and ones who put a lot of time in deciding proper breeding and not just putting two available dogs together so as to make money.  The kennels I named are ones whom I have had dealings with in the past and have top of the line dogs.  Both according to the standard as well as to My interpretation of the standard.
