how can i tell if my 10 week old pup is a scotts type or a johnson type?
I asked the breeder and he says johnson and started telling me what scotts type look like. I thought that johnson types resembled pits while scotts types looked like..well...bulldogs....some help please?! this is my first american bulldog...got her for christmas and im trying my hardest to know the breed. if it helps her parents are both tall and weigh over 120lbs.

he looks like a scott. The Johnson is larger and more bulldogish. the scott is more compact and agile like a pit. these days most abd's are a mix of both. check out my dog Argos

I'de agree with you guys about her being scotts type, but aren't they shorter and stockier?? her parents are leggy and large...some real beasts lol mom weighs 125 and dad weighed more then that but they didn't have the bulldog faces. ... I know this shouldn't be so confusing and im sure in the coming months i'll be bulldog expert.

she lookes like a American bulldog so that is good . and is 99% hybrid
the Johnson lines are bigger then the more athletic Scotts but are both big .
