Hi,

I have added a bunch of new pedigrees.    Hopefully adding  your dogs will prove easier now.

Regards

The mal is not the 2nd largest database here (after the GSD)
  • 75884 active pedigrees in the database
  • 1739 pictures in the database

OOOOOOPS!!!!!!!!!
Hope you have Backup.

Take a look in Pedegree Search

Example
/ Lsf      you get dogs breed i Finland with Registery Code SF have got same name "Jagasar / Lsf-48131/94" the litter have got their own Reg code.
Same with
/ Fin
/ Losh
/ Nshb
/ Lof

Before there was about 10.000 pedegrees, now are dogs 2 or 3 of duplicates.

Sorry for my bad english.

Best regards
Benitha

Yeah,  there are a lot of single names in the Mal,  that is names with no kennel attached.  Since the system uses the name as a unique identifier (just to simplify searches) ,,   alot of names are appended with their LOSH number resulting in names like

Asia / Loi 051175
Asia / Loi 51175

and there is already an Asia in the database,  but deciding which it should be could be a problem. (which loi number)

another example :

759071 - Barry Van Vinkelhof / Nhsb 869677 --> Found similar in DB 759070 - Barry Van Vinkelhof 759072 - Barry Van Vinkelhof / Nhsb 869683 --> Found similar in DB 759070 - Barry Van Vinkelhof 759073 - Barry Van Vinkelhof / Nhsb 869689 --> Found similar in DB 759070 - Barry Van Vinkelhof 759074 - Barry Van Vinkelhof / Nhsb 917972 --> Found similar in DB 759070 - Barry Van Vinkelhof

Doing things programmatically will almost certainly do some corruption of data (i.e. wrong pairing)

So I wasn't sure which way was the best
