I purchased a very fine Malinois from Ruidoso Malinois & Irene. I contacted Irene and told her what my wife and I were looking for and she described Sam to us. We drove down to her kennels and we LIKED what we saw and purchased SAM from her right away. We stayed in town for a couple of days and worked with Sam and Irene before leaving. After having Sam for a while we found that he was trained BETTER than Irene had said and was in fact an extremely smart and fit dog. My vet examined Sam closely and gave him a full and clean bill of health. The trainer I work with now is extremely pleased with Sam and says he is one of the best dogs he has ever worked with. -In short, I was raised in a home with Alaskan Malamute show dogs and raised Dobermans' myself. I have worked, handled and trained dogs all my life and all of the dogs I have ever had have always been pets and treated very well. Sam is no exception! I purchased Sam primarily as a pet and he also does double duty  as a personal protection dog and Service Animal. He has a very good nature, strong drive and very friendly and easy to train. I have nothing to say but GOOD for Irene and her kennels. I went there personally with my wife. We looked at all of the dogs and the grounds. I saw nothing wrong at anytime, nor did anything seem amiss in any way.

It seems that it is very easy for people to make allegations and other believe what they say without checking out the FACTS for themselves as I did. YES- We are planning on purchasing another female Malinois , and when we do you can bet that Irene will get the first crack at the sale. I would not hesitate purchasing from her again and will likely do so. I can not imagine ANYONE being more satisfied with a canine purchase than my wife and I are with Sam. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
**Just for the record- we are in no way connected with Irene or her fine kennel, we are just happy customers that think she is getting a bad rap seemingly from just one person.
For the record- Sam is 100 lbs! A fine male Malinois and garners attention no matter where he goes. He is intelligent and fearless and is probably the smartest dog I have ever had.

100 pounds seems WAY overweight for a male MALI.

My male is a constant 75#
