Just got a 4 month old belgian malinois puppy. Wondering if it's normal for it's ears to still be down at 4 months old?

It's normal. They should come up before the adult teeth come in and probably go back down during teething. Chew toys will help build the muscles that will hold the ears up.

Playing lots of tug with a big TUG toy usually fixes that

Normal - mine did the same thing. S/he is a cutie.

Agree with other posters, they should come up shortly. Give big chew bones to help strengthen muscles/ligaments.

Have you tried cottage cheese? I know it sound silly it works. I had some gsds and a mali with this problem at was told to use cottage cheese. I think has something to do with calcuim in the ligaments. Is wort a shot if you dont have any other plan of action. Hope this help

His ears went up two weeks ago when he got neutered, fed him some plain greek yogurt for about a week before then

#1 why the hell did you neuter him so young - early neuter dogs have twice the incidence of HD.
#2 sex hormones help with tissue and cartilage maturation - ears standing is all about that.
#3 hope his ears come up and he doesn't end up with hd.

Congrats! Cute pup!

For SitasMom:
#1 I think the owner didn´t know better, and the vet wanted to make money
#2 Too late
#3 The ears are fine...

Where did you find a statistic about early neuter = twice the invidence of HD ? Just wondering.
