Getting a lot of people to hate you is really easy.
All you have to do is to become rally succesfull at doing something you love.

Success Breeds Contempt
Plain and simple. There will always be people who will try to dethrown the king. But in the end, you can't argue with success.

No, you don't get it.  The "success" of the Shiloh isn't a problem.  Creating a new breed isn't a problem.  Have you actually READ the posts?  It's ridiculous and an extremely Maggie Mae-type post to say people don't like Shilohs because they're successful.  Utterly ridiculous.  What people object to is Tina saying that this breed "had" to be created because German Shepherds are now horrible dogs and she is "recreating" them to be quality dogs.  That is patently ridiculous.  Then when you call her out on that she says, well, they're not GSD, they're something else.  So half the time she says they are GSD they way GSD used to be, and the other half of the time she says they're not GSD at all but a new breed.  Can you not see that one of these statements has to be a lie?

And then all you have to do is study GSD history, read, look at photos, and you can easily see that Shilohs are NOTHING like "old-time" GSD.  They just aren't.  So of course people object to people showing them Shilohs and saying "this is what the old-time GSD looked like" when anyone who bothers to look at GSD of the time when Tina was a child didn't look anything at all like Shilohs.

And to excuse it by saying well, that's what she remembers the GSD looked like is patently ridiculous.  So if I saw some crappy Labrador Retrievers as a child and then decided to "recreate" the breed to look like these crappy Labradors, that would be fine?  What happened to liking a breed, studying its Breed Standard, and breeding to THAT?

Yeah I have read most of it. But let me say this; if Ss would not be successful then there would not be people talking about it. RIGHT?
And what is wrong with recreating what she believe GSD used to be and calls it a Shiloh shepherd. There is no lie.
For Pete's sake get over it.

As I grow older I pay less attention to what men say. I just watch what they do.
And Shiloh Shepherd is a breed with future.

There's two theories to arguin' on this forum. Neither one works.

"Yeah I have read most of it. But let me say this; if Ss would not be successful then there would not be people talking about it. RIGHT?"

Uh, no.  If she wouldn't be trashing German Shepherds, people wouldn't be talking about it.  That's the point.  Make your new breed, don't trash an excellent breed that is known world-wide for its beauty, quality, bravery, life-saving ability, that serves with pride in Iraq and Afghanistan and all over the world, that has saved and is still saving lives every single day of the year all over the world.  THAT'S success.

And this yahoo repeatedly bashes this breed and says Shilohs are what German Shepherds are supposed to be?  C'mon.

Besides, the average person doesn't even know what a Shiloh Shepherd is.  Ask around.  More people know Labradoodles, Jack Russell Terriers, Malinois, etc. etc. etc. than have even heard of a Shiloh.
