Lady Sue, there has been much mentioned previously, I appreciate the answers I've received... without the barbs.  I seem to recall being called a liar (among other things) but it won't keep me awake nights!

Thank you for your effort.

quote by sueincc: "And this is the big reason  we have mentioned previously we want to see a dog's bite work, rather than assume  because the dog is titled, he is suitable."

Exactly!!  I remember one Sieger Show, where there were trophies sponsored for the highest scoring V-rated dog that had trialed in a USA trial within a year of the Sieger Show.  There was only ONE bitch that met the criteria and only three males.  The rest had not seen a trial field since obtaining a Sch 3 at some mysterious trial in Germany that no one witnessed or knew about.  The "Midnight Trial" issue was serious enough for the SV to actually have other judges investigating these events.

Germany is not the only locale for these mysterious trials, either.  There are some questionable trials in the hot California sun--don't ever ask Christopher about the dogs who got titles at those trials according to the trial results, apparently without ever setting foot on the field.

I'd never even heard of a midnight trial till the other week... I think 4pack mentioned it.  I guess nothing is sacred.

MissBeeb:  Much is said in the heat of passion....sometimes TOO much!   I would like to start over, clean slate, and hope you will accept my apologies for calling you a liar.

I know our dear SS has a few things to say about certain midnight (or day as the case may be)  Cali trial shenanigans  too.

Well... you've taken the wind out of my sails!  I absolutely accept... glad to!

Your examples of working dogs are beautiful........working dogs with beautiful structure.........this is what a german shepherd should be.

Keep up the good work with people like you the breed has a chance!

I have seen and worked quite a few titled show dogs, and shenanigans are not just going on in the California sun. They are just as likely to happen in the mist of the northwest, the plains of the Midwest and the green peaks of the Appalachian Highlands.  Is there any other reason for the abysmal bitework from "titled" dogs at sieger shows?

Ditto what Sitas mom said.  Those were beautifully structured workingline dogs 4pack showed.

[videx quote]Stick to the simple issue - many GSD Working dogs require a substantial improvement in conformation.[ end quote]

I find that amusing videx, as more so called 'showlines'  need substantial improvement in conformation.  Sad but True!

4pack,

NO-ONE else has received an answer from Videx.  Why should you be any different?    Face it, woman, you AINT GETTIN' NO ANSWER!!  This thread is full of avoidance by Mr. Videx, even after his own questions ARE answered.  My question was merely the obverse of one of his own.  But, because he cannot answer (the dogs don't exist), he avoids the question by simply ignoring it.

Let us be honest.  If we had dogs we were working/training that engaged in this type of avoidance, we'd  find a pet home for it!!  It is a serious termperament deficiency.

I would send it back to the breeder for a refund!
