$12,000 IS TOO MUCH BUT DON'T EXAGERATE ABOUT THE DOG BEING WORTH ONLY $1200.THE EURO IS WORTH 1.45+usd ; SHIPPING CAN COST $1000, ADD ANOTHER $250 FOR CUSTOMS CLEARANCE BROKERAGE, HIPS AND ELBOWS ANOTHER $250 TO $500, A BH ANOTHER $1000, AKC REGISTRATION AND DNA ANOTHER $100, PLUS THE COST OF THE DOG AND RAISING HIM FOR THREE YEARS...
HE IS FROM A TOP GERMAN KENNEL AND A GOOD BLOODLONE. NICE COLOR AND BUILD. REALISTICALLY WOULD SELL FOR $4000. TO $5000. IN THE USA. AT A BIG NATIONAL KENNEL THEY WOULD TITLE HIM AND HE WOULD BE PRICED HIGHER.

So...for those who say they would like to own Diego, it is okay with the elbows of Diego being "b", or basically slightly dysplastic? So you would buy a dog that would go dysplastic if evaluated in the OFA rating? I am myself on the fence on this....as I think maybe elbow dysplasia is diet rather than genetics.
OFA rates elbows as perfect...or "normal"....and anything else is dysplastic. SV gives three ratings...perfect, or "a", slight arthritis (also called dysplasia) which is "b", and "still permissable", but still dysplastic "c" or noch zuglassen.
So...you would BUY a dog with elbows the likes of which I, as a responsible breeder and if it was a puppy from my breeding program...would give you a full monetary refund if the pup was so evaluated by the OFA?

I would pay that much and more for a good male for breeding, who has distinguished himself in competition, good hips and normal elbows, is a good looking dog, has the right temperament for a working dog and family dog, and has a great pedigree. So it is not a matter of not seeing a dog as having that value...I see some dogs as having a lot more value than that.
But...in the USA....dogs with dysplasia...elbow or hip...are generally considered of no value. Certainly not selling for thousands of dollars.

Dysplastic dogs are worth nothing. PERIOD. They are generally given away no matter which side of the pond they come from, if not destroyed.

I'm sort of new at this but I checked around.
One dog with no lower jaw and the other with absolutely no bone or color. Add to that mildly dysplastic and only a BH. All this for a staggering price over $10,000.00???
If this is the real asking price the seller should be ashamed! These are 600.00 dogs that can be bought anywhere. Take the 600.00 dog and ad shipping and advertising and you have maybe 1,600 say 2,000 in the dog. Offering the dog for 10 TIMES WHAT IT IS WORTH is embarrassing.
This breeder has been around the block. Just look at the website. Breeder praying on the inexperience of others by using their expertise to convince a trusting person the dog is actually worth the asking price.
