Rik

Abby, I am not in this situation and not likely to be. It is not so much the first dogs that go that is so much of a concern. But how about the generations down the road who are not VA quality. Do they end up crammed in cages for the butcher block. And that is not meant as a knock on a different culture, just a view from mine.

Looking at it realistically though, the money reported being paid would be life altering for many people of normal means. Regardless of my personal beliefs, I doubt I could turn down my grandson's college paid from the sale of a dog. I do not condemn anyone for doing such. I would imagine that only the very wealthy could resist such temptation.

just my thoughts,
Rik

Hi Rik

That is a truly terrible thought. Even the ones that aren't simply ordinary show quality from future litters could be destined for a life far from what we would expect for them.

Like you, I would never be in that kind of position, but I wonder would I sell out for that kind of money? I hope not, but the whole thing kind of makes me feel uneasy.

(More facts, Dave!
For YOUR information,
and for all to enjoy this world’s developments.)

Good Morning Chiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiina!!

CSZ8002368 Hilten vom Haus Licher (Alfons Licher 26219 Bösel)

Can you all keep track??

At the pace dogs keep streaming into the country,
I will have to alter my predictions for the Chinese Sieger Show!

Will be back soon with more imports!

by Jantie on 27 September 2010 - 17:09

It's very interesting to see how people always question/challenge my postings.

Like the above comment!
I had posted the information that Toni was going to China.
People then come on here, saying it's never gonna happen (remember Vom Brunhaus).

Well, I'm sorry.

Toni has received his registration in the Chinese Breedbook just now.

His number is as follows: CSZ8002372

Hope everyone is convinced now.

Jantie

Will post other entries in China tomorrow.
After the Siegerschau a lot of doggies are transferred to the East.
I can't keep up with the pace and putting them in my database as they stream into China!

Jantie: Why don't you clarify those dogs that are only going to China to be shown in the Chinese Sieger Show - and will return to Germany - and those that are going to China - to be shown and appear in a progeny parade - and then return to Germany.

ANSWER: You simply don't know.

Your problem: You assume too much, as always.

assumptions do NOT equal FACT

Why would the dogs be registered in China if they are only there to be shown or put in a progeny group?
It would seem that if they are registered with the Kennel Club of China it is because they will be residing China don't you think?

Many dogs are registered with the SV, it does not mean they have been sold to Germany. China is becoming huge in the GSD world. It is possible to 'rent' some German dogs for the Sieger Shows in various countries, if you pay enough.

That is a frightening number of dogs flowing out of Germany.

I too cannot see why they would be registered with the KC of China if they were simply being shown in Germany. Nor would they be showing up as imports. Can anyone clarify that point?

Early in this string, Jurgen Manser was mentioned. I need to get his e-mail address. Can anyone help?
