Felloffher "What happens to the dog especially PSD when it's put in a defensive position during a fight and has never been there before"

I never said in the course of training you don't go there with the dog.  Absolutely...I was referring to beginning training in prey to build confidence without the stress and pressure of defense.  A dog who learns the basics in prey later function much better in defense.

Felloffher, just reread that post and I understand how you misunderstood.  Would have been better saying "...either through repitiition (beginning bitework in defense- which I don't like)"

Referring to "old school" methods of starting a dog in bitework through aggitation, putting the dogs in defense, which are still being passed down in many in-house PSD training programs.

Duke you want a  Definition of Civil Drive for Police/P. Protection Dogs on video?I do not know how to do that and  I do not have to prove to you anything but there are videos on You tube as a matter of fact just about some of my civil dogs.
Duke I do not know why you should insult me.I was always nice and respectful of you. I could also insult you. You are unable to follow simple logical conclusion and need video help? Or maybe it is that you have to fight me every step of the way on just about every post I made.

When I say that there are no green dogs I mean, for purpose of this thread that every dog learns and gains experience form day one. Thus there are inherited parts of drivers and learned parts of civility of a dog. If you have not got it yet then I can not help you.

Duke since you are not capable of locating videos on me on Internet here is little help.
Here is someone who came to my kennel and wanted to test natural civil drive/courage based protectiveness of my about 10 mo old "green" dogs and some older dogs.
This is a testing and there  are more videos then these.
Again these are "green dogs" which are being developed specifically for prison work.

"by a green dog I mean , not trained in any way by humans "
duke, what you are describing is not green, but wild.  untouched.  everyone knows that green means inexperienced and undependable.  as in a greenbroke horse - he's been ridden, but is not trustworthy; or as in greenhorn - a man who is learning a skill but is not yet accomplished.

@ Mr. Prager-Why are you letting this be done to your dogs? I see no point to this "testing" (other than the fact that it might result in a sale?) All that hissing and karate chopping the air while they are held back by you only succeeded in confusing/defeating the dogs.
Additionally, why do you want them to be suspicious of certain behaviors in humans that are most often going to be exhibited in a manner not indicative of a threat?

Back ot-My understanding of the definition of civil=quick to become aggressive.
