That last boy pup has really lovely conformation for an Am line. Nice strong pasterns and hocks, but maybe a smidge easty-westy.

He's slightly east west.  He was "ok" as far as I'm concerned...could have finished.  But I have five puppies being shown and better boys than him (for his moderation, he was actually surprisingly loose).

He definitely has a stunning outline though, and beautiful bone.  His temperament is stellar, and the new family should have a blast with him.

Susie, what's to doubt?  She's open in the sholder in front, driving off her rear (with perhaps some slight kick up from a short lower thigh), she's overreaching without it being exaggerated.  Her movement is absolute correct and balanced without being extreme or restricted

Xeph, this was no comment against your dog. you know we had this discussion before ( gait ASL / GSL / WL ). I didn´t want to hijack your thread, sorry.
I really would like to handle a good gaiting ASL one day, but I guess ( and it´s a guess only, cause I didn´t handle one yet ) what I call power and efficiency is different to your description of power and efficiency.  I may be totally wrong, it´s a feeling only without proof.
After all it´s not important, you show in AKC, I show in SV, that´s sad, but true.

susie, I get what you're saying, but the pup is also not really 'in drive' in these photos.  When the gas pedal really gets pushed down, that girl is going to dig in and leave divots in her wake.

Susie, I was not offended :). I was honestly asking.

and no, this pup is not in drive at all...the handler working her had me double her VERY minimally, because we want her to learn to move without being frantic.

We also wanted as honest a view as possible of her motion :)

i called her maybe twice, and that was it.  You would get a more dramatic picture if she was moving faster.

The fact that she moves so openly with such great extension and suspension at a low speed is really encouraging.  Puppies this age often lack balance (in AmLines), so I'm really excited.

Now all she has to do is hold it together LOL

Marcato's Turn the Page "Mikasa" at age 6 months.  She got her first AKC championship point today (without the tape in her ears) :D

Marcato's Katmandu "Ouzo" won his bred by class and proved he needs some more damn ring training xD

Congratulations on her first point, know it's difficult in shepherds, both look lovely.  Especially for that "6" month age.  Ugh.  Keep up the good work.  Best of luck  Nan

Definitely can't complain.  Was her very first show and she showed like a pro.  She's an absolutely ridiculous puppy.

Congrats, Xeph! Both continuing to look good, though I'm not wild about Ouzo's feet. Wish he had his sister's front paws. He DOES have a nice masculine head on him, something that still needs improvement in many of the AmLine males [admittedly it's gotten much better, but there's still room for improvement].
