I believe one of the most important jobs that a breeder has is to educate people.  I never, ever would have realized there would be so much to learn about dogs in general not to mention the GSD.

The more I learn, the more I realize I need to learn.  This has opened my eyes to how unconsciously ignorant most are about the breed in general, not to mention breeding.

EM, I said those questions were rhetorical, but since you jumped up and down drawing attention to yourself with the word "Stupid" clearly written on your forehead:

The cornerstone to any breeding program should be TESTING. By that I mean titles, certifications, etc. How many dogs have you produced and how many have been titled, certified etc. Again this is rhetorical, because I really don't expect you to tell the truth.

GARD that's as nice as I could say it.

Spook,  I have always been TRUTHFULL and even in my opinion sometimes to a Fault,

I have admitted my mistakes here on this board to be ripped apart by you and others forever about it,  Oh well,  at least I am HONEST.

I have answered every quested posted to me,  UNLIKE YOU.    WHO IS THE HONEST ONE HERE SPOOK ????

Why is it that you have to try so hard to HIDE your identity,  NEVER posting pics of your dogs,  DO YOU even have a real dog ??  or do you just pretend so that you can play your game here ??

When you are done ripping me apart it would be nice to know you really did exist.

Echo, you certainly have met dogs who evaluate a situation and dogs who are reactionary.  The latter is an extremely bad trait, being one of the largest reasons for unprovoked dog bites.  Those are the type of dogs who like to bite, they enjoy discord, their tail is wagging the entire time. People are the same way.  Some make an effort to understand the meaning and intent behind the words and some enjoy the opportunity to loft themselves above others and "sound" intelligent.  Dont worry,  they rarely are.   You can almost always tell the intelligence of people by their LACK of flaming and defaming others.  Those are the people whome you should associate yourself.  I would not worry about trying to justify yourself to people who represent nothing but argumentativeness.  Its not worth it and it will only give you an ulcer.

by EchoMeadows on 27 June 2007 - 18:06

Lisa,  Well said.  Thank You for the reminder.

Sorry Spook your just not worth the time or the effort,  I have put alot of effort into answering all of your questions in detail 100 times or more already,  I'll not spend any more time on you.

How many  litters, how many puppies, how many tested, how sad.....of course I'm not worth the time. If you had any positive results you'd flaunt them.

I claim to be putting the working ability back into the German Showline GSD. I am in the process of proving that. To me, that means I am bettering my line. Is that the same as bettering the breed?

My dogs are proven, titled, breed surveyed, actually can work, and aren't titled just for the sake of breeding. I won't breed to a male just because he has titles (sch & conformation), I want to see this dog work, and I mean work! None of this crappy bark and guard, lack of commitment, insecure, lacking training, BS that is so damn common in the German Show line.

So I think the important question is, and should be, what are we doing, as breeders to make sure we only breed the best dogs? I am sick of people saying they are doing "test litters" because they don't want to put all the time and effort into a dog to find out it doesn't have what it takes. That is BS! Follow the damn rules! weed out the dogs with weak nerves, can't work, and lack good strong character, the way it was meant to be!

Stop pussy footing around! Put the damn time and effort into it! Prove the damn dog before you produce more! If Joe Q Public educated himself about purchasing a cute adorable cuddly puppy, AND if we as breeders HELP to educate that same purchaser, we might actually improve the damn breed!

These type of questions tick me off, because no one ever tells the damn truth. Wake up! Own up to what you really have in your kennel, stop with the kennel blindness, and be honest about what you have, what you want, and what you are producing.

And, that concludes my rant for the day.
