Thanks for the advice I don't want to breed anymore 0/3 on the hip checks.  I do want to educate what MY experiences have been. But with all your lists of don'ts I can't figure out how. I don't want to offend anyone but I do want to MAKE people aware of bad breeding practices. Like if you get a dog with a bad hip check make sure you request that OFA put his bad results on the webpage. And list any bad genetic problems on this board under the dogs that are listed. I have a male that was kryptoric by a dog on this board who happens to be a fantastic competetor and champion dog. But breeders vewt messed up and let him passed, my vet caught it the next day when I brought him in we waited 6 months nothing, she found his testicle in his abdomen. So is it against the rules to post this under the dogs prodgeny since the breeder is still breeding him and the same female. And she is still breeding the same mother with different males of my little girl that prelimbed bad.Yet the breeder says her dogs have never thrown a bad hip. I have 2 that I know of and I am waiting till my male is 2 yrs to get his final hip check to see what his looks like but the vet is already thinking by his range of motion that his hips are bad.

Isnt the board used to expose bad breeders a mistake is a mistake but continual miss breeding should be exposed.

Sharing experiences is YES in my opinion one of the things  this board is used for....

I don't know on the other,  might be a bit of a moral integrity ??   meaning,  Maybe the breeder has not YET had an OFA come back bad,  and you just happen to be the unlucky person who ended up with 2,  bad odds for sure but it could be ??    Your dogs however I feel are two VERY Lucky dogs to have you...  There is a quote someone put here on the DB not too long ago...

"Man has plans and god laughs."       I love that quote can't remember who posted it but LOVE it.

We tried hard to find our lost dog, and in the meantime we were led by callers seeing the posters to a dog 120 miles away and in a very insane setting we were able to catch this dog,  He now shadows me, and is a bit of a redemption to what happened to our dog who was killed.  I said when we found "Wyeth" that I felt God must have some plan I am not yet aware of,  and I think he knew I would need a dog who truly needed help and who in turn would help me to greive the loss of our other dog....... well this could apply to your specific situation as well,  Maybe God knew the odds were that this breeder as ANY breeder would indeed have some pups come up with bad hips ( It happens to all of us no matter how cautious we are )(knocking on wood)  and he knew those pups would need a compassionate, intelligent, person to love them and to know when they're time of quality is over and do right by them in the long run.  Maybe you were "selected" by a power higher than we can recognize.  and just an FYI no I am not a religeous nut but do beleive there is more here than just us.....  :-)

Echo:  I started going steady (does anybody do that any more?) with my wife when she was 7 and I was 10.  I really gave her a ring that came out of a Crack Jack box at that time.  Married her when she was 17 and haven't looked back since.  We lived across the street from each other since we were kids and neither has ever dated anyone else (at least not to my knowledge),  She is the bomb!  I would have said she is phat, but I would have been in the dog house again, because she wouldn't understand what I meant .
