To all from a newbie,

Although I signed on to this message board almost 2 years ago, I didn't post for quite some time. I looked, listened, laughed, etc. Guess you could consider me a lurker. I had recently purchased a beautiful GSD and though interested in obedience, never really though about titles. The more I lurked, the more I learned. Then disaster struck when I lost my boy and I posted a heartfelt message in total anguish.  All of you understood and sent warm condolences and I thank each and every one of you. I then purchased a puppy in grief and haste (without using most of what I learned here) from a breeder who has been mentioned on this site in one of the "nasty discussions". I read more, lurked more and intermittently asked a few questions. I know I don't have the best dog but I love him dearly and he has filled a void. Now I have learned recently my husband is interested in Schutzhund and has found a local club. He went yesterday and really enjoyed it and our boy had a blast. I was not able to go due to a prior commitment but will go next week. We will see if our Drake has any ability (he is from working lines) and take it from there. If not , so be it, he is what he is and will be loved no matter what. Now my husband is interested in purchasing a dog from titled parents specifically for that purpose and that's why I posted about "pick of the litter", I want to know what to look for.  I know about drives, conformation, temperment, etc. but was not quite sure I'd be able to tell when I go to choose and what age would be best. I never plan to breed (too old to start) but would like a good quality dog.  All of the info you posted was more than helpful and again, I thank you all.

Anyway, the point of this is, I still consider myself a "newbie", just not  an uninformed one. I take what is good and laugh at the rest.  But name calling, drama and trying to catch someone with their proverbial pants down are really quite useless. It does make for some humorous reading at times but gets old fast.  Echo, you were one who sent a heartfelt condolence my way and I really appreciated it. You have also posted some good advice on other subjects.  Your posts can be funny, warm and informative when you're not being defensive.  So stick around and start posting without bringing up all of the old battle scars, please :o)

Oh Boy!  I am a lesbian now!!!!  My husband said he did not care as long as I took pictures! And it is all because Echo doesn't know when to stop making an ass of HER slef!

LOL! That is funny!

Do Right has the right attitude!  One of my favorite quotes, not sure of the source, maybe Oskar Wilde  . "You wouldn't worry so much about what others think of you if you knew how seldom they do."

one more time for Lee Hough aka funky pup2, The End, Cahill24, KHill, TimLC, Beammeupscotty, Ike2, dogford4, Kougar, and others - I do not have any alias.  I am eichenluft, which is my kennel name, my contact information is posted on my profile and I sign my posts.  I never  post nor attack anyone anonymously.  If I have something to say, it's something I have no need to hide who is posting.  My opinion and experiences that I choose to share are always my own.  Unlike you, Lee Hough Troll of this board and others.

Molly,

Blood will out - breeding will tell.  And has been told.

You have many aliases and it has been proven.  Soon, another will pop up, daiko will agree with the new poster.  And it is always the same people and dogs you attack.

Focus on your training and your own life and you will be happier.  All people should do the same.

proven? I think not.  Eichenluft is me, and always has been - the only one.  I have nothing to hide and never have.  Never a problem to express my opinion in public or private, as myself.  Novel idea right Lee?  Off to training now, too bad you can't -  no clubs for you, been kicked out of all of them eh Lee?

Molly,

Keep on the futile attempt to clear yourself and bash others - the problem is, that the trail always tracks back to you.

And to everyone, including Molly -Trying to blame your woes and badmouth others, subtlely or not, is juvenile and shows bad breeding

Thanks neither am I a religious nut but I believe the same thing. It was a message from God that I should not breed and I should  help. My vet told me the exact thing. And bless her heart she knows financially this is killing me and every once in a while I notice a "discount" of some sort on my bill, last one was 100 dollars. She says plenty of vets will put down a dog at a breeders request like one testicle. She refuses to do it and will no longer take them as clients. So I guess my dogs found me and I found an angel of a vet. All things for a reason. And as she has said look what each one has taught you, they all have a lesson, and I am learning every day. I am glad I found this forum.

Hello all

Glad to see things have quieted down some on this post.  I do want to say a big THANK YOU  to those I know and have met for your kind words...all of the people that I know who have posted on this board have been nothing but kind to me and I appreciate it...I do have thick skin (I have to I have a high functioning autistic daughter who runs me ragged daily :)  ) so its okay that not everyone may like my dogs...I do!  and by the following pics...you can see someone else does too!
