DR---lol...its ok, i wasn't meaning you...i had read other threads and post on pretty much the same subject but they were  mostly said in a mean way, i was just refering the way a lot of men talk about overweight women in general,   i have been having the same arguement with alot of people lately---i am in no way over weight, im actually prob underweight, but i am already starting to see as i am getting closer to 30 that i've got to stop eating like i'm still a teenager, i notice that i am actually gaining weight from the things/way i eat...so now i watch my calories and what i eat...but...my hubby is also still use to  when i never complained about getting fat from junk, he says i need to gain weight and thinks im crazy for being worried about it...so, lets say i did, i just eat whatever i want and i gain a lot of weight, then he would prob be one of the men that tells his overweight wife that they are perfect but complains about their weight behind their back-----my point is i guess--no matter how skinny you are you still worry about your body image--NO ONE really sees their self as perfect and no one is perfect

P.s. i think i confused myself, yall gotta excuse anything i write today, i had a extremly bad toothache and took some pain meds..lol..im not use to pain meds, tylonol makes me loopy...the hangover doesn't help me much either...<<----------see..not a healthy person..lol

anika..was not trying to make fun or make light of someone having any type of eating disorder. I know that is very serious.. i have always tried to teach my own daughter to eat healthy but not to think she has to stay pencil thin like some model or movie star. that is is natural to gain weight as you age but akways try to be healthy and take care of yourself. Plus many men like alittle meat on those bones... there is alot more to what makes a woman attractive to a man than just her body shape. The fact is the woman nature, sweetness, ability to take care of my children, intelligence, humor etc are alot more important to most males especially once we males mature which I am like a ddr male and taking a long time to mature. lol  lighten up on yourself as i bet you are a special lady...

Not I. I'm lucky, my bf tells me I'm fat most days and is constantly watching what I eat so I don't have to. Ain't life grand?

I want a pack of Zinger's and a Pepsi like I used to eat in High School, every day for lunch. I think I outgrew that metabolism. LOL  Thinking about that makes my stomach ache.

Lucky you to have a  resident dietician, 4pack. Oprah pays a lot of bucks for hers. I used to have one, but he's gone now (and I don't mean gone as in dead) . 

 DR, I was referencing a generation, a generality, not your family.  If you say your family sat on their asses all day long every day and were fat, and lived to 99, good for you, as I said, they are the exception, not the norm.  I'm sure you'll find something to go off on again though, good luck to you

zdog, sounds to me your refering to Americans in that post uptop. You have a problem with Americans? Because I have a problem with people who do.

Another think zdog, you said "I know my grandparents were at least if not more active in their later years(when they were slowing down), than most Americans are every day of their lives."  Why must it be your family against Americans?  How are you so sure "most Americans" are fat lazy arses?   I would like to know.
