The Biggest issues i had with the show were as follows. (1) A dog that finished with a V rating in German Sieger Show Top 50 and has competed in  at least 4 other Sieger Shows in North America and never been dismissed from ring is suddenly oversized now? (2) Protection judge Inga Balonier who is known as a no nonsense protection judge is at the last moment relieved of judging protection work? The dog that bit helper would not have gotten by her. and (3) A dismissed dog is allowed back in ring after German owner talks to judge for 5 minutes. I just feel the rules that apply to one person should apply to all fairly.

TOP DOG IS 100% ON POINT.

THESE CLUBS SPEND ALL THIS MONEY BRINGING THESE JUDGES IN FROM GERMANY THEY CAN’T AFFORD $5.00 FOR A SHEET OF PLY-WOOD. GET REAL.

WHERE ARE THE CLUB OFFICIALS AND HOW COME THEY LET THESE THINGS GO ON . IF THE SV SETS THE RULES THESE CLUBS MUST MAKE SURE THAT NO B.S. IS GOING ON .

IS IT THAT WE DON’T WANT TO MAKE WAVES, AND IF WE DO THEN THE GERMANS WON’T COME TO OUR SHOWS, WELL THEN I SAY STAY HOME.

IF WE HERE IN AMERICA SUPPORT OUR SHOWS WEEK IN AND WEEK OUT THEN WE ALL HAVE TO FOLLOW THE RULES AND NO BACK ROOM BS.

WHY ARE NOT MORE AMERICANS JUDGING OUR SHOWS, IS IT BECAUSE THE GERMAN PEOPLE WILL NOT COME . TO BAD THEN.

EVEN AT THE LOCAL SHOWS, YOU HAVE A ENTRY DEADLINE. NO ENTRIES SHOULD BE TAKEN THE DAY OF THE SHOW. THAT IS WHY YOU USE THE WORD DEADLINE. IT MEANS THE END OF ENTRIES TAKEN AFTER 0/0/07.

EACH AND EVERY SHOW MUST START OUT WITH EVERYONE PLAYING WITH THE SAME SET OF RULES. AND IF THERE IS NOT A SHOW COMMITTEE TO HANDLE A PROBLEM THAT MAY COME UP THAT CLUB SHOW BE FINED FOR NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES.

ENFORCE THE RULES AND THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEMS. AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW THEM READ THEM.

AND STAND UP FOR WHAT YOU KNOW IS RIGHT. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO CHANGE THINGS.

LET THE USA, WDA AND THE SV YOUR FEELINGS ALSO. JUST DON’T STOP HERE.

You have a reasonable request for sure.....but try and have that happen!!!! I have chosen not to show my dogs in this Bull-S arena anymore. Maybe if enough people do this the only ones left will be the big kennels at the shows......with themselves to compete against. Who did judge the protection work?? What dogs were asked to leve the ring?

Hi Everyone !!!!!!

I too was at the show and I withdrew one of my dogs from the show.   You can not argue with the concerns that are being raised.  Personally I was looking forward to having a tough judge -  judge the protection test.  As I heard the woman has failed many many dogs over the last couple of years.  Only to find out that she was not the judge.   I know I wasn’t notified by any show official that there was a change of judging assignments, and I have no idea on why the judge was switched.    So I fully understand why people who spent a considerable amount of time and money expecting one thing and got another are upset.

A board is not needed to accurately measure a dog.  It was plain to see which dogs were tall and which ones were not.  (well to most people)

As for what happened in the show ring, nothing different then what I have seen before.  I have shown a lot of dogs and won a lot of classes.  I have VA'd my female, and won many many regional shows.   I have also seen many dogs pushed through, piss poor bitework, etc.etc, and these dogs are bred many times, and even though they are always up front, it is these dogs that have put the breed in the current situation.

Respectfully,

Carl Morgan

I would have been livid had I come to Canada all the way from California and found that the protection judge had changed. Even had I been given some advance notice (and refunded my entry fee), I would still have been out my expenses for airfare, motel, rental car, etc.

Carl, did you see the dog (someone posted earlier in this thread that it was VA-4 Nick) allegedly bite the helper 3 times? What is you opinion of this?

Who judged the performance tests--Seifert? If so, I wonder if he will be doing same at NASS.

Kindness, you piece of shit!! What does the link you posted have to do with any of this. The guy that wrote all these lies is a short fat No brain scum of the earth.I'm not the only one he has done this to. I contacted the owner of a training facility in Conn he tried to buy a dog from. The owner told me that he did the same to her. Except she was smarter then me and after she spent much time and money on traveling to his home and his auto repair shop in the Bronx,She relized what a scum bag he was. This meatball wants a dog that will kill on command and be tuff as nails. Then get a long with his dogs at home ( 3 males and a female)  I don't own , sell dogs like that.He knew that. Why would he buy a dog from me after he bought a dog that had a similar breeding and temperment like the dog from Conn.

Kindness your user name should be scum bag. If your trying to piss me off. Well you did. Now I beg you Please tell me your name or let me see you at a show. But you had better bring and Army with you.As for this little smuck of a man you started all these lies. All he wants is a big dog, just like his big car and big home. all these things are and extantion of his very small member.

Just remember pay back is a bitch! Kindness.

Louise, Everyone saw the dog bite the helper in the hand. The judge even grabed his hand to see if there was any damage. This dog should have been DQ'd.

Do you all think that all the VA males in Germany are 65cm, or for that matter all the dogs shown. Please! Size has been such a problem. I honestly think that almost everydog that is being  shown these days is more then 65cm. So why and how can 65cm be inforsed. So why then don't they change this.Don't tell me I'm wrong you all know better, and you all should speak up. Stop complaining about what goes on and do something about it. If you don't, then you have no right to complain. So take a stand , grow a pair of gonads, and do something about it , don't wait for someone else to.Where ever your from. USA, Canada, Germany,Mex, Norway, Italy, or where ever.DO SOMTHING NOW IF YOU CARE!!! other wise just sit back and be a follower and not a leader. And just wait untill someone big throws you a small bone just to keep you playing the game.If you don't think that people don't see the kiss asses out there , well your wrong.I won't lower my self to kiss anyones ass.Not for any price or prize..

There was no change of judging assignments.   The show judge has judged the protection for the working class the pass 2 years for sure and maybe 3, at the Canadian sieger show.   I think the change took place in 2005 Before that the trial judge would judge the protection for the working class. The working judge now only judges the Trial work and not the bite work for the working class.

These are things that come up but is not known to the general public.  Nor are the show regulations.  I keep asking for them but no one can give a link.

If anything can be learned of this, is that the owner should be present for the measurement to see for himself what the dog came up as.  The dogs should be prepared to stand under a measure and not squirm, jump, lean.  An equal platform should be available so that the dog is standing on firm flat ground so the most accurate measurement is made.  If the dog is oversized according to the measurement, the dog owner should be provided with the options for continuing in the show.

With this type of set-up I am sure there would be less disagreement.

My assumption the same process will occur at NASS but the WDA should be prepared to enforce some minimum guidelines and make sure that all entrants are aware of the processes.  JMHO.  If I were TOPDOG, I would take that dog to NASS.
