Just because you fully support the men and women that CHOOSE, yes, CHOOSE to serve this country does not mean you support the war, or those that ordered it.  I won't get into my opinion on what we're doing over there.

Be thankful that people like Kenny choose to serve so that your sons, brothers, uncles, husbands, etc don't get drafted.

People who disrespect our military becasue they disagree with the politians who decide where the go are nothing but low class, ungrateful, trash.

SO, Goldenelk, when your "supposed" family members in the military die in service,  will your eulogy contain some of what you said before?  "You volunteered for the military, that was your choice, no need to rub it anyones face who did not. Most likely you came from a lower income community with others who where joining the military so it seemed like a no brainer - you did the same. "

But back to the dogs, you, since this a GSD board and all that-  you can breed responsibly without titles, and you can be a crook breeding titled dogs. I'm all for calling out people who are obviously doing the breed harm, breeders and sport enthusiasts need to lay off when what the should be doing is educating in a non abrasive way.

of that roughly 20% now day's is made up of females, which is the highest it has ever been? if you'd like i can request total #'s from the va so we can put that against our current population.

i'm sure many have served, and thank you all for going before me, regardless of what job you did or do. if i had 6 figures to buy the best dog i probably wouldn't  like him? so i'd buy a bigger house, breed my dog and keep all the puppies! don't know and don't plan on ever having that much money, unless one of you can give me a winning lottery #.

my tone is because i'm tired of watching people bash each other! i see enough fighting trust me, it s all around me. even within the 40 other guy's in my platoon. i come here for knowledge, some of which i get, other times i get crap! if you have an opinion great, that's your right! what i don't need is someone telling me what my dog is or isn't. you don't know my dog other than what is posted here, which has been stated not alway's to be correct in other threads!

i'm just tired of reading crap! bashing, trash talking, 2nd and 3rd hand knowledge of events.  i have asked about breeding in the past, doesn't mean i'm going to. just  an idea for the future. i'm sure i'm not the only one here on this board that feels this way.

here's my opinion, breeders should be restricted, not by what they can afford. but to a limited # of dogs!not everyone has been raised around or know's all about any breed. i don't think every dog needs a survey '' someones opinion'' or should have to be titled. my thinking is kinda like having a child. you don't know what your gonna get, but you just want a healthy child! boy, girl, short ,tall, doesn't matter you just want them to be healthy. so did all of you test your husband/wife as you do your dogs? if not well ,how do you know YOU will produce a healthy, productive child? you get what you get whether you like it or not.

so as my last post to this thread i ask this, next time anyone want's to bash someone else or talk negatively about them, their dog, or anything they didn't directly ask for keep your crappy opinion to yourself. reduce my stress and that of some of the others here, and like i  was taught growing up if you don't have something nice to say don't say it at all. we all deal with enough negativity, but if you just have to put your negative .02 in then email them privately. if they don't list an email, ask them to email you and you can reply.

sincerely

kenny

Kenny, your heart is the right place, but it just won't happen. The dog world, especially online, is often full of trash talking, backbiting, lying, and meanness. You just have to learn to roll your eyes at the idiots and keep looking for the small few who are actually sincere and helpful.

Kenny, if this forum causes you stress, for the sake of your health, just stop reading it. There are plenty of other GSD forums out there that are moderated and which you may find easier to take. Good luck and stay safe.

God Bless you Kenny.  Thank you for serving our country.

I have NEVER personally attached anyone on this forum before, but Golden Elk, you appear to be a spoiled brat.  Since someone has always looked after your self-centered hinny, you don't have any appreciation for those who are looking after you now.  You may personally disagree with the war in Iraq, but that does not give you the right to demean those who could die tomorrow.  Direct your comments to your state representatives, if you have the guts, not the service men and women who are risking their lives to serve their country, all without consulting you or your opinions.  My son is in Iraq now.  He was called out of college and away from his business degree program to do so, and we are NOT in the lower Social Economic Status (SES) group, not that such things matter at all.  Apparently you have read a little socio-economic theory to make the correlation between lower SES and the military--big freaking deal, so you can read.  We are still talking about lives, all of whom are valuable.  I will take an honest military man over a spoiled brat any day of the week.

Make that "attacked" not "attached".

by GoldenElk on 16 August 2007 - 19:08

Kenny - I apologize for my abrasiveness.

I am angry at this war...I can not express the extent to which I am angry...no words can capture it properly.  You're comment  "I''m fighting for your freedom too. most of you are a disgrace, and make me wonder why i'm over here!" just sent me over the edge. All I see is corrupted bastards in Washington sending people to die as if life is as cheap as dirt, for personal gain and not in defence of our home land and I feel powerless. I did not intend to level the brunt of my anger at you. I hope you accept my apology, but if you don't it's understood. Stay safe.

Veronica

Do you prefer one branch over another, or will any military man do?????

by GoldenElk on 16 August 2007 - 19:08

Veronica, I accept your flogging, and for the record I am not a self-centered brat, I am giving to a fault and I have had a fairly fucked up and impoverished life...spoiled, no. And our state reps are paid whores like the rest. I have written before on the behalf of other issues. I don't have a couple million to line the envelope my letter is sent in so doesn't seem to get their attention. Point taken though.

by KKR_Gsd02 on 16 August 2007 - 19:08

mr elk. would you like to pin my bronze star on my chest, if so i will invite you and make sure that your allowed to do so! now sir you are questioning my integrity! something i don't take lightly. if someone would i will send some photo's that are food for thought, and you can post them! i haven't quite figured out putting a photo on here yet, so i must be retarded to go along with my low income.

i served first in the us. navy from 1996-2000, got out out and started college, after 9/11 i decided to join back up in the us. army, if you'd like i'll send a copy of my recent re-enlistment paperwork for another 6 years of service.

god speed for your family serving mr.elk,

kenny
