Hummm...Come to think of it, I think my husband would prefer I not take ANY military man after all, reguardless of branch, LOL.

I lost my cool.  I have corresponded with Kenny via email, and the thought of him or my son not making it out of there in one piece is more than I can take.  He has a lovely family waiting for him to come home, and of course, I cannot wait for my son to shake the sand from his boots.

I do not accept your apology, Golden Elk.  You only offer it to save face, not because you are sorry.

You should have said, "Pretty Please"

by AKVeronica60 on 16 August 2007 - 20:08

Our state representatives, prostitute politicians or not, must respond to pressure. If you feel strongly, go start a movement against the war.  If our people in Iraq really meant anything to you, you would not have said what you did in the way that you did.  Your contempt was obvious.

I love it when you guys talk dirty!   Ya wanna play on the monkey bars later?

Your true character shows.  Your apology did not work, so when what you said was not forgiven immediately, like a spoiled teenager, your response is to be vulgar, further insulting, and respond that "I did not apologize to you", when you definately should.  Here is the person who says she is , "caring to a fault", throwing a temper tantrum because I do not instantly forgive her insult against my son and those serving with him who may die tomorrow.  I do not see any caring in you.  I see someone who is self centered, vulgar, cruel, and not very bright.

I didn't insult "your son" woman. Is Kenny your son? Drop the histeria and the dramatic diatrbe and get over yourself.

You seem like an educated person.  Don't take anything on here to heart.  It is a waste of time and energy.

Golden Elk, appologies accepted. i feel the same but about the people and bashing that goes on here. i have been at the center of it, but just went back to lurking and learning!

everytime i come on here i read more than 1 post of bashing, trash talking, people just have to try and 1 up each other or humiliate one another? i don't get it. is your life that jacked up that you must make these comments. you all know who you are. as i've stated it's not all. but there are more than 4-5 of them. then once it begins, seems everyone is on the linching band wagon. get over it!!!! go back and read what i asked when i said it would be my last post on this thread. that's 10-12 above this one!

as for terrorist, send the troops home! i can hand pick some friends of mine and we will bring the fight to the hiding cowards. as i've stated i'm not a professional with dogs. but to anyone here. put my team and my rife within 1500 meters of mr. bin laden, and i'll show you a tall skinny coward looking for his 77 virgins. i didn't ask for a war, never will or would have. i may train for it but never want it to come to that. just like i would hope my dog never HAS to defend my family! but he's trained and i believe more than capable, just like me.

after being here, i'm not against giving these people some of the freedoms we enjoy and take for granted! even if it's for someone else's personal gain! i have opinions on that also, but am a professional military man and will kepp them to myself! my opinion doesn't matter, what does is that i train my guy's to the best they can be and bring them home to their families!

MR. Clew, thank you for the offer. i think the wife would consider divorce if i bring another dog to the house! she's the real hero, raising a my daughters, 3 yrs and 5 mo old, taking care of ''my dogs'' and keeping the house together while i'm deployed . besides we for now are living on post and i'm at the limit of 3 dogs. we will be transferring upon my return and i will be buying a house with some land for her, the kids, and the dogs in washington.

Animules thank you for the help so far, she has pointed me in a few directions to hit the ground running there on training and such and has offered alot of support training wise when i arrive!

sincerely, kenny

Let me know when you get "home".  Take care of yourself in the mean time.

Whew, did this blog ever deteriorate quickly?  man went from asking about dogs and why some were so expensive to having to defend his reasons for being in the military????

PART 2 Continued

WOW!  Dont know what happened there.  i believe I hit the tab key to indent and suddenly....  Ok to continue with Part 2

Kenny, any mfg of any product in order to make a profit has to consider their overhead.  For example, if BREEDER A, buys a dog for $500 and BREEDER Z pays $2,500, there is a $2,000 differential to begin with.  if Breeder A decides to train their own dog by joining a local club and paying $150 year, thats his choice as a way to go.  Thousands do that each year and only dozens succeed.  Obviously not the best approach for success.  Others like myself choose to pay trainers to do this for us.  Our cost for a Sch3 title in Germany, could cost from 3,000 - 6,000 euros.  Getting the right trainer is the secret.  Not all trainers are created equal, here or in Germany.  Here in the states, I had one friend pay $6,000 for just a Sch1 and another pay $8,000 for a Sch 3.  We will assume when I give a title by number it includes the lower titles as well, e.g. a Sch 3 includes the Sch1, Sch2 and Koer Klasse.

Let us now go to phase 2 of overhead.  BREEDER A will give himself and you many reasons why they wont show their dogs in accepted competition.  We have heard all the stories, lets see, umm judges are crooked, judges only put up dogs they sell, judges only put up German handlers, etc, etc  roll your own excuse.  BREEDER Z believes that the only way to prove a dogs worth is to show it in active regulated and approved competition.  It always hurts your pride and your pocketbook when your dog gets beaten, for any reason.  But, as in war, if you cant take the heat, get the hell out of the fire.  So BREEDER Z begins showing their dog in puppy classes.

You see, in Germany a dog is supossed to have titles in front of their name as well as in back of it.  There are a few top working dog people that even have a V rating on their dogs. Unfortunately, many cant even get a "G", the minimum requirement acceptable for a dog ro be bred.  Most working dog people talk about the titles after their dogs name, Sch1, 2 or 3, IPO etc.  These speak highly of the dogs ability to work, but the title in front of the name indicates his breedability, temperament and correct structure according to the standard, not according to people whose only criteria of value on a dog is their hip and elbow rating or the fact that you can beat hell out of him with a stick.  Keep in mind that the breed was created to herd sheep, not just become "war dogs" or "K-9's".  Their adaptability to adjust to so many needs only speaks highly of the breed and those that have carried it forward over the last century.

The cost of showing even puppies is around $20 a show, plus the costs of traveling to the show.  Now most breeder/owners know what kind of a dog they bought.  If you knowingly buy a cheap dog for whatever reason, then surely you should be aware that it isnt going to win at a dog show.  Dont knock the "showline" buyer for doing it, even if he loses.  He believes he bought a good product and wants to find out in the only way he can if it is.  Most showline puppies bought at any price arent all going to make it to the top.  Those that do, will gte VP ratings in the puppy classes, SG ratings thru the 12-18, 18-24 classes and V ratings when in the titled over 2 year old classes.  Only the very best dogs get the coveted VA title, which means "excellent select".
