Wow, so many 43 year old females on this board.  Well - I am also 43, single and unfortunately no children.  My dogs fill that void - most of the time.  I came from an extremely close family - the youngest of five and only girl.  Never married, never found anyone that could compare to my Dad, great father, funny, intelligent and caring.  Worked for the same company for 18 years, which paid for my undergradaute and graduate program from St Joseph's University, which I attended at night.  Lost my best friend to cancer when she was 31 (still miss her everyday).  Watching her battle cancer and leave 2 small children behind (age 1 and 3 years old) changed my life.  Formed a Relay for life Team in her name and raise money each year in her honor.  Almost 2 years ago, I lost my Dad to cancer as well, so I spend my free time working with the relay.  Lost my job in July - my company relocated 2 1/2 hours away, and decided not to go as  my mother is selling her house and moving in with me and she would never be happy living away from my brothers and her 9 grandchildren.  I am spending my time away from work, getting in better shape (both mentally and physically), training and exercising my dogs, hanging out with my friends and family and working on my house.  My company hired me back as a consultant 2x per week. I am finding out that I am really enjoying this slower paced life.  I spent so many years working long hours, travelling, stressed and always felt like there was not enough time in the day.  Now, I take the time to enjoy what I have in my life and hope to pick up a few more consulting clients, so I can continue to enjoy my new freedom. and flexible schedule.   I have 3 german shepherds currently - Libby, CD, RA, CGC/TDI and Falon, CGC/TDI and Molly, Bh, CD, RN, TDI/CGC and lost my 4th - Reno back in March who was my one shining light.  I like to think that she is keeping my friend and Dad company until I can see them all again someday.

SS - For the record, I LIKE the kennel name FRAUENGARTEN.

The subtle suggestion of Sapphos doesn't turn me off at all.

Quite the contrary.

Kidding aside, it's a very nice kennel name and it is already building a rep to back it up.

You caught me!  I couldn't figure out whether I was going to be a 76yr old lady or a 18 yr old boy, but after the beers I drank last night, I went with the 76 yr old lady because that is how I felt this morning.  Last night I felt like a 18 yr old.  It's a good thing that isn't reversed.  That would have been wierd!

Yeah WOW   WHere are all the men?

I am a 58yr old male, divorced, living in Dallas outskirts, and am a Paralegal, specialist in Litigation, which takes long hours out of my week... I have two german shepherds,  Laredo(DAX) and Neches.,  I also have 3 stallions , on a ranch nearby which are not getting my attention right now and I train horses for a hobby.   I was born in Michigan  , moved to Texas, brought my Mom here after my fathers death. After Mom was sick for so long, my brother moved here and lives in Terrell..

I have had as many as 6 germans at one time and put my last female down 2 years ago and that is when I met  YR and bought Dax..he is a german working line boy with no stop and healthy , smart and beyond surprise at what he can do....Herds horses and protects his master, me.....and herds me too.

I have learned alot in the last two years from YR about this sport and the value of what you feetd ,  train and love is the most of a llife time venture and I love every minute of it.

I tread lightly on this site and like reading all the posts.....with little time to reply and am not experienced in gsds yet.as a sport or breeder...Have no desire to breed......but will never be without a companion.

O.K.

MWM.  Neutered w/ kids. I live in the Mid-Eastern region.  5'11" 200lbs Blond hair.Brown eyes. non-smoker.

I like training dogs and am an avid sports fanatic.  My favorite color is blue.  Favorite food is a nice filet with a lobster on the side. Oh, and a baked potato too.  I like and drink alot of beer.  I clip my toenails and trim the nose hairs regularly.  If there is a good game on t.v., I will not go for a walk or may not pay attention to you.  I don't like cats.  I may forget your bithday and any other holiday that will cause me to spend money.  I don't clean, cook, or do the laundry.  I will however, cut the lawn between games if you provide a riding mower and one of those hats that hold a couple of beers.  I am not one of those ultra-sensitive men.  I only cry if my team loses or if I haven't had my meds.

If any of you ladies are interested, please PM me
