DR&FNO:  People are fical (sic).

by von symphoni on 13 October 2007 - 19:10

we need 2 different message boards, one for actual questions that actually pertain to something helpful for someone, and one for whining and moaning and complaining and topics that really dont ever get solved and only inflame further hate and derisiveness.

angusmom:  I offered here, to send a copy of the CD to anyone (well, almost anyone) if they would just give me an adress to send it to, and I had no takers.  It broke my heart

You know who will be back, laughing as usual (he loves that term "You are the Poster Boy for "Ignorance is Bliss".   If he has used it once, he has used it a dozen times.  He also loves the "raven haired" thingy.  Yes, he will be back, and I fully expect his alleged wife to show up, probably under a recent screen name (and I am betting it will actually be him), and she will tell us all how wonderful he is in mind and body.

Don't assume the pictures are of his family.  You can not believe a word he says.  I am sure there is "some" truth in there somewhere, but geesh, how the hell do you know what and which.  It's a crap shoot.

My grandmother, who raised me, used to tell me that if you find just one lie in the Bible, then the whole thing is suspect.  She never found a lie in there, that she knew was a lie, but the point is made.  He has lied so many times that everything he posts has to be taken with a grain of salt.

A couple of recent quotes from Mr. Oklahoma (ROFLMAO):

"DoRight, I'm kind of like Tony Montana...................I always tell the truth, even when I lie."

"Most of the other things I have posted are true. I got carried away when people were accusing me of being a dogfighter so I tried not to dissapoint by making Abhay a real piece of work."  (notice the word "Most")

Talk about mental problems.  HA.  Now he is talking about himself in the "second person".  You have serious issues Oklahoma, who lives on 15000 acres near the Arkansas river, no wait, you are near Mexico, no wait, oh, forget it.  I can't keep up.  Put a fork in it.  It's done.

I, also, have only met friendly pits. And that's saying a lot - I was a vet tech, full time, for 13 yrs., and a basic obedience instructor for several years.  Our clinic was very busy -- we saw a minimum of 30 dogs a day and over a hundred when we had Saturday vaccination clinics.   We never blinked an eye at pits.  In fact, we were happy to see them, as we knew they'd cause no trouble. The breeds we DID use a lot caution with  were Rotts, Cockers, Springers, Chows, Akitas and Sharpeis.  And yes, some GSDs.  The majority of the GSDs were only aggressive because they were doing what they were bred for -- protecting their owners.  Chows, however, always made us cringe, being invariably aggressive, and I've only met TWO nice ones in all that time!  But pits?  Sweethearts, stoic and never cry-babies!  Perfect patients.

Dog fighting makes me nauseous and there is no HUMANE way to fight a dog!

Do Right- If one must spend that much time trying to figure out if one is telling the truth or a lie about themselves then I myself do not personally have the time or energy to waste on that person.  I just move on to the more "real" people.  Maybe he is trying to redeem himself so that he can participate with some of the genuine people on the board but then again maybe he's just pulling our leg again???  Who knows, who cares at this point right? lol

by Do right and fear no one on 14 October 2007 - 03:10

Yep, you are right.  I just hate dog fighters with a passion.  I should just let go, but I am like a Pit a little.  I like to hang on until it is over.  I need to change that.  I think that I really have a hate, not for Abhay, but for the internet.  Anyone can say anything they want with virtual impunity.  It didn't use to be that way.  You told a lie or called someone something they are not, then there was a good chance you would get a black eye, but this internet thing lets "us" get away with slander and vulgarity, with impunity.  I guess that is where my anger really lies.

But, I am absolutely sure Anhay is going to show up again, with a big lettered LOL, and "recant" what he has said here, and tell how he is just "funnin wit ya'll" or something like that.  I did find it rather sad and pathetic that towards the end here, he started talking about "Abhay" as if he was "someone else".  Maybe he has "problems" and I should be more sympathetic..............................................Nah, thought about it and decided a resounding NO.  I am a firm believer in "you made your bed, now lie in it".

On a different note.  I also find it funny how some will come on here and other threads, and tell "us" how we should not discuss subjects that do not pertain to GSD's.  They even get upset if it is about a different breed of dog and tell "us" to go to the sites about that or those other breeds.  I guess discussing religion or the war in Iraq, is just too frivolous for a site that is about such a serious thing as the GSD.

If you were talking to your girlfriend or boyfriend, would you only talk about your relationship, bills, sex, children, etc, or would a discussion about Cocker Spaniels be okay?  Some people here know each other in "real" life, but most don't.  It is interesting to find out what others that you have certain things in common with, think about things on your mind today.  No harm in it.  We ain't using up band width that prevents someone from discussing all they want about GSD's on this site.  Reminds me of back in the day, if the other kids didn't play by my rules, I would threaten to "take my toys and go home".

Grow up and change the channel if you don't like this show folks.  It ain't hard to do.  Just click.

DoRight:

I agree, the off-topic, whiner thread police are a kill-joy. Let conversation flow. Let freedom of speech reign.

But you do need to take a few yoga breaths about the lawlessness-of--the internet angst. It certainly is not worth stressing about! CLICK is Right! LOL

Also: One of my favorite early lessons of life that was actually hard for me to learn, but is very useful, (perhaps with others, too) was from a Woody the Woodpecker cartoon about the saying:  If you can't beat them, join them.

About Abhay and the internet: he is only as good as his advice, same as the rest of us, of which we all must  judge, through type alone. But that  also makes it the compelling mystery, n'est pas?

I've had my grain of salt today, have you?

by Do right and fear no one on 14 October 2007 - 06:10

I avoid salt.  Bad for your blood pressure
