Spending T-Day with the grandparents of course. Just 5 minutes away in the next town over. Their backyard is way bigger than mine and they are dogless this Holiday. Grandpa always likes when I bring a dog or 2 along to hug. He misses his, who passed away earlier this year at age16.  I think I will bring my dogs along this year. I always need a nice slow walk in the cold air after I stuff myself silly.  What better company than my pooch? Grandpa can play some ball and my daughter can run out back if she is bored or cross the street to the park. Then I don't have to feel guilty or rush home. I like to show up early and stay late. Holidays are fun with food and family.

Me? At the home of the wife's old aunt. How many will be there? Too many. Oldsters, middlesters, youngsters, and pranksters like me. I think the Wild Turkey is definitely a good recommendation for (a) I am a vegetarian and (b) it is my favourite Bourbon whiskey, LOL.  Dogs may be off-limits this year, but that should be negotiable. I think the old Fero grandaughter will be the dog of choice if anyone goes. The others will just have to stay at my place but there should be some leftovers for them.

Everyone, regardless of where you go and what you do, have a great Thanksgiving and a safe one at that.

Best Regards (hic!),

Here in Texas it is so muggy and warm   gonna be a hot kitchen unless weather changes.... I am cooking the turkey , in a big blue roaster, with lots of butter, salt and pepper and a  little stuffing of cornbread and bread....with   CELERY  and onions , lots of sage,,,,( add until color of pale green) and raw eggs, and poultry seasoning....cook a big pan seperate , also...Love dressing for days with gravy and cranberry sauce...and green olives....yummmmm

I put some giblets in my dressing and save the rest to make gravy , in the juices of the turkey....mash potatos , green bean cassarole, sweet pototoes with marshmellows on top, pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and lemon meringue pie, and pustachio gel salad,  lots of ice tea with lemons   and  then  turkey sandwiches for a day or two and lots of left overs..

This will all be waiting for me, after I return home , as Im going to eat the main dinner with my Daughter and her Hubby and grandkids at his parents in Maydele , Texas......and   watch

DALLAS COWBOYS    WIN THEIR GAME AND GO 10-1     AT 3:15   TEXAS TIME...AND THEN EAT SOME MORE.....

HOPE ALL OF YOU HAVE A BLESSED DAY AND ENJOY THE FEAST , THAT WE HAVE ALL BEEN BLESSED TO BE ABLE TO EAT IN PEACE, HARMONY AND A COUNTRY FREE OF WAR AND PESTILENCE....

EVERYONE COME BACK AND LET US KNOW WHAT THE DAY HELD FOR YOU AND YOUR FOUR FOOTED FRIENDS....LOTS OF RAW TURKEY FOR THE GSD.TOO,,,,
