Hoping to hear a happy 'tail' today of Max. It really is great that so many have come togeather to help and offer assistance for this dog. Max is lucky that Charles took an interest in him , and moreso that Charles contacted Shelley. Obviously Charles did not deem Max a bad dog, just a good dog in a bad situation. That is a step above what a lot of people in the shelters do. We have all heard the horror stories, it's great when even one dog comes out of the shelter (I do rescue work myself and not only shepherds). I'm looking forward to hearing how this dog is in the free world. I hope everything works out for all involved.

MAX LEFT THE SHELTER WITH MOLLY THIS AFTERNOON! After a long day of interviews and photo opp's our celebrity-boy happily jumped into his crate in Molly's truck and headed off to a much brighter future... I will post pix later, just home barely in time to catch us on TV tonight. ;) Thanks all! SS

For those of you in the Lehigh Valley, we will be on Channel 69 News tonight, at either 5 or 6pm, and in The Morning Call probably tomorrow, possibly the Times News as well depending on whether they can use my photos. The M/Call photographer tells me I need a better camera if I am ever planning on being a photojournalist... Ha ha ha. I told him to leave me either one of the $5-6000. Nikon digitals hanging around his neck. Max was an almost-perfect gentleman with a crowd of people and dogs in the busy reception area at the shelter, but not crazy about the big video camera right in his face. I'm thinking one of the first things Molly will do is give him a much-needed bath. Peee Yewww! I swear Max was smiling through the crate door. Charles was smiling too, but with tears in his kind eyes. SS

I would like to thank all those involved in helping me get Maximus out of the shelter. I was sad to see him leave, our daily walks and the Ohhhh's and Haaaa's he recieved mad our time together a memory I shall carry for the rest of my life not to mention all those dog germs from his kisses. I know he will serve his new handlers with proud distinction and be an asset to any agency he works for. Strength and Honor my friend, Strength and Honor. Maximus! Molly please keep me posted. Shelly, Thank you so very much. Peace Charles W.
