hi i just wanted to know if a mild overshot bite will correct itself during the growth period? my female puppy has a mild overshot bite and i regularly show her and the judges dont seem to mind a mild overshot bite. should i take her to the vet and let him perform surgery on her? i dont know why this happened because she has a very good blood line. she comes from the esko vom danischen hof lines and she also comes from the dux de cuatro flores lines.

If you have surgery on her bite, she will never again be eligible to be shown. I've had a few puppies with overshot bites and all have ended up scissors. You really have no choice but to wait it out. How old is she?

aristianM from what I know the bottom jaw grows slower than the top and will usually correct itself in time. If she is only off a little at 7 months she should be OK soon.

Maybe the experienced judge knew there was a very good chance the bite would correct itself. She's still growing. See how it looks at 18 months.
