Ooooh Ooooh Birdy said PISS she must be banned from the board. Trashmouth hypocrite! I do believe SW has thrown down some words herself and been asked in a nice manner to not post so shamelessly her link and umpteen pictures of Chaos. Aptly named dog, with the shit storm his owner has stired up for him. Niceness didn't get through to SW, briskness either, laying it out there how annoying it was didn't do the trick, so why not try my way? Days and days of her not getting it has driven more than myself nuts watching it all unfold.

STOP using Oli's board to whore your own forum Shepherd Woman!!! We are all sick and tired of the endless pictures of Chaos. Apparently other boards are also tired of your crap and wasting their own precious time trying to help you with your dogs health problems.

Was that nice enough Birdy? (more like old crow to me)

SSDD......  does anyone know what that means?

This is a typical evolution of most threads posted. Everyone should read it from top to bottom a few times.

Oli, I think you should leave things the way they are.   You can see how well everyone gets along....:)

Best wish's to all.

Anyways...

Back to the original topic...

"But that does mean that I do not have the sophistication that full blown messageboards have.   So I need some moderation and I feel that some threads have merit but need to be stopped.

So give me ideas folks...   What should I do with the lurking trolls?"

Gawd, u guys.

OLI, I am in full support if disclosure of any poster on any public forum. I have sent you many emails as you are aware for several years with this complaint and request  to you. As you know I have never had but one name Alabamak9 and sign my name Marlene Wiggins after I post anything. I see even on this recent topic that a bgstout had said I had different IP's which I am not a good source for how this  all works can only attest to what I know about which is I have never used anyother name but my kennel name and signed by me from one house/business computer in my home... I for one think all members should no matter what name they are using have the ability for anyone to know who they are full  legal name and address.   This site has long been a avenue for slander by some intending harm to others under these fake names. I told you in our last email that ninety percent of the trouble makers would disappear  from the database for fear alone of legal recourse against them. You have my permission to post anything concerning my user name and address IP or otherwise.

Thanking you Marlene Wiggins

Marlene, I would certainly not stay if I had to give my legal address.  I have no qualms about suppying any information to Oli for access control, no qualms about listing my name,  but I know of one person who recieved direct personal threats from someone on this forum.  There are whackos out there.  As for IP address - I have a static IP and no proxy server )  and I don't want that "out there" - why? because ANYONE can get a marker from the IP darned close to the home address.

I do not know enough about software to know how people can be weeded out and not allowed back on but if you are bad enough to get kicked out the door you should be bad enough to not be able to add or edit pedigrees or make comments.  That right there would stop a lot of the nonsense.

I know many forums require a "verifiable" email adress (ie an email address from an ISP) but not sure how they check that.

Nancy, I agree and understand  what you say is true but the problem I have personally experienced with this database is a few people with no  identity set out to bash kennels/trainers or anyone without fear of legal punishment should not be tolerated. The few who are quility of this need to be stopped however the system works software, or banning completely.  It is a major undertaking to sort all of this out and maybe with the imput of the members it will be resolved .  I for one do not post or come here unless someone sends me something were my kennel or name is mentioned.  I got tired of defending myself against the fake posters with twenty plus names on a daily basis and being upset over something I had no recourse to do anything about.  The data base is a useful tool for pedigrees and information and the state it has become is alarming. If the TOS's were enforced, all the concerns voiced here would be addressed and the offenders dealt with  accordingly. No need to reinvent the wheel - the rules are already in place.

I agree. The TOS should be enforced and that would eliminate the trolls altogether. Then, perhaps the IP numbers could be used to keep the trolls from re-registering?
