"Note: Please do not respond with info about the two clubs "Aloha Schutzhund" or "Schutzhund Hawaii".  I hate to say things like this, but these two clubs are a complete and total joke."

"They are very backward, not motivated at all, and can go for weeks without even meeting to train!"

Dupree, I'm curious. ..Do you say this based on what you've seen? Or what you've heard?

"I'm not being mean at all, anyone in there right mind would turn around and leave the instant they seen these two clubs train. "

I'm wondering if you've seen the training on the Big Island.  Have you trained with any of them?

I'm curious.

"I'm a super nice guy, but those two groups couldn't even put a Sch 1 on a dog if they wanted to.  And it's because they have no desire to become better, it is called un-motivated."

Dupree . . If you are refferring to the club on the Big Island I think you are incorrect.

"The question was is there any GOOD helpers in Hawaiiand it hasn't been answered yet."

The answer is yes. There are.

Cheers

Wow,

I wonder if you are talking about the same club I belong to?  I am a proud member of the Aloha Schutzhund Club and I'm wondering if you are a member?  I you were, you'd know almost all of your statements about our club are not true!  We meet at least 2X weekly and conduct trials at least annually when it's logistically possible.  So we are a joke?  While we cannot brag  about having national level competitors, we do put titles on dogs and help lots of novices get their introduction to the sport.  I'd sure like to set the record straight on this forum.  While I don't have to defend our club to you, I just want the others on this forum to know you are not as informed as you say you are.  In fact, during 2 of our last 3 trials we conducted helper seminars and certifications.  I guess that's because we aren't motivated.  Our last trial in March 2008 produced 1 SChH1, 1 SchH 2, and 6 BH's. You sir are uninformed and obviously not a member of this club.   Hawaii is a small place and has a large military population that moves often.  We don't have the luxury of having a membership that is constant.  Many of our members stay for the length of the tour here in Hawaii and then move to another duty station in the US and join other clubs.  Many of them contact us and thank us for our Aloha Spirit and willingnes to teach them about the sport and getting a foundation or title on their dog.   So, I ask you, What club are you talking about that doesn't meet for weeks at a time?  What club is not motivated?  What club can't put titles on dogs?  I know it's not the Aloha Schutzhund club.  Good Luck. And ALOHA.

Still training here in Hawaii.

I happen to be in the Aloha Schutzhund Club on the Honlolulu and I happen to disagree with your comments. I dont mean to sound rude ill just let you know a little bit about that club. 95 percent of that club is in the military which doesnt help training much. I have been deployed twice in the for several months in the short period that i have been with the club and I put a BH on my female on her 15 month mark. My co-worker who is also in the club and was deployed with me put a BH on Both his male and female on there 15 month mark and he has been in the club as long as i have. The director of the club served in the military and retired and is now a civilian contractor for the military and works just as much as the rest of the members but he still manages to find two days of the week to gaurentee training and then he makes time for the people who can not make it because of there military status through out the week. We tittled two Sch2 dogs and several BH in March and all because we put in long ours when we could. Im sorry if i seem to ranting and raving but you question how much we care and train and ill tell you this much while most of our members are deployed the study as much as they can to better themselves and be worthy of there dogs. We have never claimed to be the best Schutzhund club in the world but I promise you that we care as much as the best of them. We just dont have the same amount of time to train as some people.
