I been using it, as well, but once again I opt for something else :). No more RC for me :)

Every year or so in Fall i go on a food compare rampage.  I call the Manufacturers of certain dog foods to get a better idea of their nutrition system.   Where is the beef or chicken raised, for example, with or without hormones.   New Zealand Beef, Lamb of chicken is 100% without hormones.

IN Each dog food the FIRST 5 INGREDIENTS make up 75%  of the entire food.   Thus the remaining 25% CAN NOT make a difference in and for the dog.

Dog food is a gimmick.  You can promote that you have glucosamine in your food even if you have only the slightest amount of it in a 40 lb bag!

These MFGs will put a load of ingredients in but not how much.  So the above statement of the dog with DM was benefitting from it, is questionable.

Ck out the link on my site above and I highlighted as many of the (mindnumbing) ingredients which are in the four that i was researching.    You'll see that RC has a K-zillion ingredients AFTER the first five, again, pretty useless.

Any specially formulated dog food like RC is what you want to avoid to my opinion.  You'll make your dog dependent on it.  Variety is what a dog should have.  Switch it between same brand from Chicken to beef to lamb to pork  to buffalo to venison, to duck, etc etc etc. and change dog food annually.    And if at all possible, feed it RAW.

So, no on RC for me.

Foods which I know to be good foods, Eagle Pack NATURALS, Solid Gold (any of them), The Honest Kitchen, Diamond NATURALS, Premium Edge.  There are many more, but I have not used them sofar.
