SO WHAT ARE YOU SO AFFRAID OF?? THAT WE CAN READ ALL THE NASTY THINGS YOU ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR DOGS?

WHY WOULD WE CARE...I'VE BEEN IN THIS LONG ENOUGH TO NOW THAT NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU TRY...SOME PEOPLE ARE GOING TO SEE THINGS DIFFERENTLY THAN YOU.

AND PLEASE DON'T GIVE ME THE VON STEPHANITZ THING LIKE YOU ALL KNEW HIM PERSONNALY AND THAT YOU ALL KNOW THE STANDARD AND BLABLABLA. AM. BREEDERS COULD TELL YOU THE SAME THINGS CAUSE THEY THINK THEY ARE RIGHT TOO.  SO WHO'S THE LIAR AND WILL BURN IN HELL??

AT THE SPEED YOU'RE EATING EACH OTHER UP...THERE WILL BE ONLY AM. SHEPHERD BREDDERS LEFT LOL..

AND YES THERE IS A LIST FOR AM. SHOW PEOPLE...NO BASHING TOUGHT..THEY TALK ABOUT REAL GSD ISSUE..

Yellow Rose, is that dog in your dog's ancestry? Nice looking dog!

Here's my American showlines/German showlines bitch:  http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/pedigree/523413.html

And no, I do NOT appreciate people who come on here to bash the American GSD, or ANY GSD! THEY ARE ALL THE SAME BREED!

You want to see ugly? Here's some German showline examples!

The dog has loose flesh around its head, and the whole  hock is about to hit the ground, just as happens with the American GSD 'hockwalkers'.

How's this for a broken topline? I can show you a number of other pictures from my 'Ugly Dog' file that look just as bad as this one!

Some complain about American lines having faded pigment. This bitch, a German showline, was recently advertised on the data base as an "excellent producer'!  Guess where the American lines got their faded pigment?

I don't care for the extreme angulation of most American line GSD's, but there are a few kennels out there that are breeding closer to the standard. Here's a dog from the Imp-Cen kennel that I like very much, Imp-Cen's Point Given:

And then, of course there's Dallas, the top-rated American sire of all time,  who just happens to be the sire of the above dog!  He also had his HIC, and could have gone farther if his owners had let him. One of the posters on the PDB saw him herd, and said he had very nice movement, and an excellent work ethic, and looked like he could have herded all day.

Or maybe you'd prefer to take a peek at Jim von Fiemereck , Sch 3, Kkl 1, AKC Ch., ROM?

There is a list where the Am. show people can go instead of here? Where is it?

THEY ARE PRETTY SELECTIVE ( you have to know at least two person on the list). it's only posts of information, not a big website like this one.

And MERCI BEAUCOU SUNSILVER.  Nice pictures, great comparaisons..has we can see they're is good and bad on every sides...

BECAUSE NOTHING IS PERFECT! AND EVEN IF YOU GET A PERFECT DOG, DOEN'T MEAN HE'S GONNA PASS IT TO ITS PROGENY.

Jim Vom Fiemerek has a daughter Sel. Ch. Darby Dan Eve..a very impressive female..oufff she had everything and pretty much looks like german lines. Even tough she didn't look american she earned a select and do you know why??

BECAUSE SHE CAN MOVE. MOST OF THE GERMAN LINES DOGS LIVING IN AMERICA DON'T MOVE ENOUGH TO EARN A SELECT OR A CHAMPIONSHIP. IT'S NOT BECAUSE OF THEIR ANGULATIONS OR BECAUSE WE DON'T LIKE WORKING DOGS.  SOME OF THEM ARE WAY TOO ROACH AND UNBALANCED. I BREED TERRIERS AND SOMETIMES I SEE SHEPHERDS AS SQUARE AS MY AIREDALES...THE MOVEMENT IS THE POINT IN THE STANDARD THAT HAS THE MOST INFORMATION BECAUSE IT IS A VERY IMPORTANT THING. FOR A SHOW DOG, IT IS THEMOST IMPORTANT THING.  WHEN YOUR STUCTURE IS NOT GOOD..YOU WILL HAVE A FAULTY MOVEMENT.

I don't think posting a dog born in 1971 from German GSDs, that achieved an American Champion rating, is comparing apples and apples.  That's more like calling an apple an orange.  He was a nice looking dog.  I see very few American Shepherds today that look anything like that.  I'm not talking the ones from direct, or second generation, German ancesters.  I'm talking the split already mentioned above.

To each their own.  I'll stick with my German working lines.

Oh please, you must be joking.  Even the most arrogant American Line breeder would not be so stupid as to think Captain Max V Stephanitz had the ASS in mind as even a pale immitation of what a GSD should be.  Sorry, but he wasn't looking for a hock walking, paddle footed, collie headed mess of a dog  with all the working ability of a maltese.  The ridiculous statements made by a few silly ASS people as of recent just goes to show how far you have your collective heads up your ASSes.  What a joke and thanks for the laughs.

Animules is right.  Real pretty and titled GERMAN imports.  Funny how it works that way.  Glad you could find a couple of pretty American Line dogs.  What were THEIR titles again?  Strange, I can't seem to find any Fran Jo dogs with schH titles or any other well known american lines, hell, I can't find SchH, Mondio, French, or Belgian  titles for any american show lines.  That's because all you jerks care about is that stupid flying trot.  In fact you prefer to water down the temperment & breed stupid dogs because they are easier to handle in the show ring - to hell with what the dog is meant to be.

What you have done to the breed in this country is nothing short of disgusting.

Oh but I forgot - your dogs can trot real fast around the ring in one direction.  Wow, what an accomplishment.

IT WAS TRUE BEFORE BUT A LOT MORE AMERICAM SHOW DOGS GET TITLES NOW..I KNOW IT'S NOT SCHUTZHUND AND NOTHING ELSE IS GOOD IN LIFE THAN THAT..

OK SO YOUR DOG CAN SNIFF A ROUND A TRACK BUT WILL PROBABLY NEVER USE IT FOR SOMETHING REALLY USEFUL EXCEPT BOOSTING YOUR EGO..OH YEEE AND HE BITES INTO A SLEEVE VERY HARD..THAT'S VERY USEFUL FOR 99% OF THE POPULATION!

THE FACT IS A LOT OF PEOPLE DON'T NEED A SCHUTZHUND DOG AND ARE TOO WEAK TO OWN ONE.

AND ARE YOU TELLING ME THAT VON STEPHANITZ DREAMED OF THOSE BRIDGE BACK, SQUARE CRIPPLED DOGS?? I DON'T THINK SO EITHER..

THE PROBLEM WITH BOTH SHOW AND WORKING LINE IS THAT THEIR ONLY BRED FOR THOSE QUALITIES WORKING OR SHOW..AND I'M AWARE THAT A LOT OF EUROPEEN DOGS HAVE BACKYARD TITLES AND I KNOW FRIENDS WHO HAS IMPORT SOME AND WE'RE SUPPOSE TO BE SCHUTZHUND 3..IT WAS A REAL JOKE!

I'M GLAD I MADE YOU LAUGH..WE ALL NEED A GOOD SENSE OF HUMOUR AND A REALLY BIG BACK BONE TO STICK TO THE GSD WORLD..NOT EASY ANYWHERE..

I'm done with you, I think you are a troll come here to start a pissing fight over this.  My mother taught me never to get in a pissing fight with a skunk.  Love your idiotic description of schutzhund, nice to see you know nothing about that subject either.

by TessJ10 on 14 July 2008 - 01:07

Wow, sueincc, you really over-reacted.  Surely you yourself are not so "stupid" as to think that Capt. Max von Stephanitz had in mind a broken-backed, croup-less, weedy little dog, or a banana-back like the one in the other thread started today?

BOTH sides have problems.  I'm not a fan of the Amer. show shepherd, but I do think that Point Given dog pictured here is lovely.  Calling ALL American show breeders "jerks" makes you sound like ol' Windy Pool when things stopped going her way.  Nothing but ranting and name-calling.  Not a word about all the Sch "bought" titles, either.  As I started researching getting a GSD, certainly more than one reliable breeder pointed out to me to never take a Sch title on an import at face value unless you knew and trusted where it came from or unless you saw the dog work yourself, as payola for titles is rampant.  Which is just as "disgusting" as breeding hock-walker.
