Liz, you maybe right - regards David

missbeeb - I apologised for calling for them to resign or be removed, which I edited a change as soon as I had realised it was wrong: David

Philip: Thank you for accepting my apology, 20 years ago, and since, all dogs in Kennel Groups have been required to have been entered and to have competed in the actual show. This should NOT be changed. David

Sheila you correctly stated the following: "This is not the first time Mr Payne has accused peopleof running private Surveys." - This clearly illustrates my consistent principle on this matter. Thank you. David

Just an update;

I have to congratulate David Payne on succeeding in stopping Essington in doing the Breed Survey.  It appear's to me not only has he stopped it there, he stopped it at Leicester through 'FEAR'.  We can only see 2 conclusion's on this;  Either David Payne is 100% correct in all his action's over the year's he has spent in German Shepherd Dog's OR David Payne's Power is so strong he frighten's people.

People who have been reading this thread, YOU DECIDE, as we will not be doing a Kennel Parade this year.  We can do one next year and next  year and next year, and all the year's after that......... It's no problem to us at all.  It has suprised us in how much of a Big Deal it was to David Payne, when so much underhandiness is going around the showring!

Kerry-anne, I'm sorry you're missing out this year, however, I strongly suspect that DP is very sorry indeed... in spite of his rather "thin" apologies!

When you read between the lines, I think it's often clear that he has a lot of knowledge but his use of that knowledge sometimes beggars belief!  To put it very simply and without intending to offend, he's a bit of a horses' ass at times, his mouth is off and running before his brain's in gear!  On top of that, he's always right... which makes "sorry" (when he's wrong) very hard indeed.

There are worse traits... I think!  If he's your friend, give him the chance to apologise properly... I hope he's man enough to do so!

I did not stop the Breed Survey,

First I am accused of organising the survey, now I am accused of stopping it - both accusations are untrue - this could only happen on this PD

.

Kerry, I don't agree with you. People are not FRIGHTENED by David Payne, they are just fed up to the back teeth with him and do not want the hassle that will inevitably follow any action of which he disapproves. I don't blame Leics for dropping the idea of surveying five extra dogs (assuming five had been forthcoming) nor do I blame Essington for backing out. Why should anyone or any Club put themselves in the firing line for his vitriolic remarks?

David, at last there is something we can agree upon..............your consistency. You consistenly see wrong where no wrong exists. Do us all a favour and leave us to enjoy what was once a lovely hobby and/or a way of life and which has now become a battlefield, thanks in no small part to you. No wonder this breed is in such a parlous state. Do you ever give a second thought to the people you have hurt or humiliated?

It doesn't surprise me to read the above comments from Sheila Rankin, she who rules the Breed Council and Essex GSD Club, and the editorship of Breed Council Magazine, allowing vitriolic attacks on myself, and Sue Bellfield from a proven cheat, banned by the Kennel Club, month after month in her "personally controlled" magazine. Who makes a personal attack on Kerry herself for daring to resign as a correspondent. Sheila I conceed the throne of evil and vitriolic comment to you. Your well deserved and very apt nick-name says it all.

It's more likely that Leics. dropped the survey to keep control of the committee, in other words "one of you dared challenge how the Leics. survey was agreed, it will now be cancelled, take careful note if you feel like challenging any further decisions" - This "style of control" must surely be familiar to you Sheila, with all your experience.

This breed, particularly its show scene is in a parlous state because the Breed Council, in which so much hope and promise was invested, has been almost a complete failure. The situation will not change until Breed Clubs become determined to make huge changes. I am afraid it will be asking far too much of most of them, they are simply not up to it, and not up for it. The leading GSD Clubs need to take the lead and take the required decisions. That is the only hope left. Any intelligent analysis will come to the same conclusions. Unpalatable but unfortunately true.

It is with regret that we have been forced to reply on this subject but would like to make it known that ESSINGTON GSD CLUB have not yet officially advised ANYONE that the proposed Breed Survey  for the 24th of September is NOT going ahead therefore it appears that certain people have already made this decision on the behalf of the club.  The people concerned will be officially advised by the Club when the final decision has been made by all the Committee Members.

The statement made that the Club has backed down is totally untrue.

No further comments regarding this matter will be made.

David Payne;     I have called for the IMMEDIATE cancellation of this Breed Survey,

I would just like to say; John Robinson phoned us and cancelled and he said, "I have had so much hassel from Dave Payne, I can not take anymore and I am not happy with one of the committee members"  and we understand, no problem.   Essington; DID NOT phone us about the cancellation, the Treasure (non-committee, and Best Friend of David and Rhoda Payne)  phoned Sheila Rankin and made the excuse that the Hall is not hired on the night and does not want to have extra expense. Roughly the same words David put in a post.   Thank You Essington Club for willing in the beginning to put this on for us, but this has gone ridiculously too far, and we will not be coming for a Breed Survey.  There was no hidden agenda in this and can't quite understand, one minute it's cancelled and one minute it's not.  Ann and Mike Rushton, I would just like to say you are both very lovely people but we are embarrassed by all this now, and you don't have to have any more worries about putting on a Breed Survey.   Kind Regard's   Kerry and Philip   www.shernaagsds.co.uk

Well said Sheila Rankin, i applaud you for having the guts to stand up to bully boy David PAIN!!! You are 100% correct that the GSD world would be a much more pleasant place without him and his nasty tounge.

Personally i dont know how he has not been banned from the showring before now for bringing our sport into disrepute.Maybe he should be
