PRIVATE BREED SURVEY - THE FACTS - Page 4

I told the secretary, that in my opinion the Breed Survey should be cancelled. Consistent with my viewpoint. Any decision to cancel is of course up to the Breed Council, or apparently one person Sheila Rankin. It was and still is my firm opinion that Essington GSD club, as a venue is UNAVAILABLE, TO ANY DOGS on this date, 25th September. It is our AGM, and NO DOGS are allowed, a strict rule of many years standing. This rule required changing, and that can only be done under our rules. The issue here is simple, the Breed Survey referred to requires a venue "suitable in regards to the Breed Council criteria" - Essington GSD Club NOW appears NOT to be suitable. SO FIND ANOTHER VENUE THAT IS SUITABLE.
i repeat, I have not stopped this Breed Survey, that is NOT within my power.
Of course I use my ability to identify actual or potential problems in our breed, and then I will write and speak about them, and in some cases offer my opinion of the solution. This is my constitutional right here in Great Britain. If others find it difficult for them to do what I do, or to respond to my comments or proposals in an intelligent manner, THAT is their problem. It is a common human failing to attack a person who is open in their views, when those views do not coincide with your own and you feel incapable of responding adequately. Our democratic society with its associated freedom of speech will not be changed by GSD people or a few morons on here. Remember every (known) person has the absolute right to express their opinion and propose their idea's.

Im going to play devils advocate here - please bear in mind I do not know the persons involved in this thread, but am just fed up with the slanging matches that are going on.

I always thought you had to meet the set criteria for a show on application for entry not afterwards.

When did people give D Payne the power to intimidate?  Bully's only rise after people give them power.

How much notice is required for a Breed Survey? and who has set out the rules for when/where/who etc.

Also if someone didnt start with accusations saying that DP had organised this survey none of this would have happened.

Firm rules should/must be set out in regard to both entries for shows, after all most show schedules state something similar to " In estimating the number of awards won, up to including the 7th day before the date of closing of entries shall be calculated . . "  Surely something similar should be done on othe survey's.  After all if you entered a dog with no survey, on the intention of gaining the qualification after, but should sickness/flood etc prohibit that survey taking place you are then ineligible to take place or should you infact fail to gain the required level of survey.

If all rules are transparent and well publicised hopefully none of these slanging matches will occur again as there will be NO confusion about what is right or wrong.

Come on guys remember its only a show and that "good sportsmanship" and the good of the breed should be forefront at all times.

I have to put this thread to bed now and make this stop, as David loves an arguement, as I put on a previous post.

I have read David's reply and he stated "Find another Venue that is suitable" the funny thing is, We Did, Leicester, but you managed to stop that with your Posts with your Views.

You have said that if people can't comment in an intelligent manner that's their problem, the problem is David you blow with the wind as we don't know which way you are going.  For example David;

I dissagreed with the JRD, which I had told you and disscussed with you and being a FRIEND did not come on the JRD post's to argue with you, that's what friend's do.

This is not about responding to you in an inttelligent manner, this is about you changing the goal post's all the time, even on Breed Survey's! 

Beepy;   you are 100% correct, but we did everything through the proper channel's.  If sheila Rankin said No, that would of been the end of it, we just took a chance and she said Yes, and we did not do anything behind people's backs.

Finally David, I would rather have a loving, caring, nice partner, then one with a high I Q and nastiness.  Just to let you know David, you may have enjoyed this, but I have found this quite sick and not enjoyed replying, as I thought you were a true friend and I always supported you.  But if you attack me or Kerry, I will alway's respond in an inttelligent manner.

Beepy,as you said this did start with accusations about DP,but would it not have been simpler to just reply with"not true",end of debate.But no,a new thread was started,and everybody and his granny have been ripped to shreds by DP.There is absolutely no need for what has followed,just to prove you are right.He continually puts the anonymous posters down,can you wonder why they wish to stay anonymous? So BEEPY,PEGGY,and myself of course, being anonymous your opinions DO NOT COUNT,nor do almost all members of this data base!!!! As i have said before don't take life,or yourself sooo seriously,i find it hard to believe we are all supposed to have one thing in common... As a point of information, Rhoda has supported and does support me 100% on this matter and she has vetted almost everything I have wrote on this thread. Liz, I did state it was NOT TRUE, and YOU came back agreeing with gsd3000 accusation. With NO facts at all. That is what is wrong on this site. Too many people on here claim intelligence but obviously have very little. Phone calls from my true friends to me, fully support my viewpoint on this matter. A handfull of people on here have completely failed to pursuade me that I am wrong in my views on this matter. I am not surprised, Philip makes comments in his last post about me that have NOTHING to do with the FACTS of this issue. This is a common practice of many people on here, IF YOU DON'T LIKE A WELL PUT  VIEWPOINT, IGNORE IT, AND RESPOND WITH A COMMENT COMPLETELY UNRELATED TO THE FACTS.

Many friends and many people with a genuine interest in our breed, especially in sorting out the many challenges that our breed now faces, have asked me to stay active in our breed and to keep trying to find the required proposals and solutions, I relented.
 

DP,  even when you're right... what upsets people, is how you address them... you're very rude!  You don't always get your facts right and you are so aggressive.  Dear God, you could start a fight in an empty house!  You do yourself no favours! 

Sounds like you've lost a friend or two because of this... there's none so blind...
