Okay Cody...you should look for something for at least 1/3 this money for just a nice dog.  That should get you a very nice one.

Please, unless they have done you wrong, you should respect their privacy and not post email.  It is okay to ask questions, that is your right as a buyer and is an intelligent thing to do, but please don't post email.  Veronica

why would anyone consider spending $15,000  for a dog with that deformed back?

Veronica I think he posted the email because several board members were suggesting he had put the commas in the wrong place. The seller surely has the commas in the wrong place, but don't blame the poster.

Cody, Diego's sire is a quality animal, but you can buy Winner vom Assaut progeny out of better "brand name" dams for 1000 Euros across Germany. As for Ben, I've never seen a Nando dog with a head or hindquarter like that, but Nando sons are readily available for 700 Euros throughout Germany.

Misty Ridge has not bred these dogs, it appears they're hoping to catch some poorly educated buyers unaware with imports they've marked up several hundred percent. Veronica thinks they're marked up 3 times, my opinion is they're easily marked up 4 or 5 times. Either that or Misty Ridge's German connections have grossly taken advantage of them.

In any event Cody you're well advised to continue your search.

I can get dogs similar to these for $1,000  and $1,500 all day and every day. What makes these worh the price? I just don't see it.

It amazes me what people are asking and getting for these untitled dogs!  A "BH" is NOT a Title, BTW.   And you are looking for a nice family dog , yet they parade Diego out to you saying that "he can be aggressive"??????

YIKES!

I know of a nice pup that came from this breeders own breeding, and they asked a small fortune also for their own pup out of UNtitled parents.

STAY AWAY from these guys, is what I would do.  There are so many nice reasonable people out there with nice, reasonable dogs, priced reasonably.

I am very glad you have asked for opinions on this one.

im thinking for that much they should have titles, koer reports, and proven progeny.    oh well, i guess as long as people are willing to pay that much, others will have them for sale for that much.
