CodyB:

Veronica K9 will verify my post. Last year I was ask to find a dog for a family from our board,  I went thru mega dogs and one of these was one of the ones , customer was sent info to buy..She did her research and I and Veronica and others, looked , interviewed. ask and went for 4 months and got every thing from 20,000..00 t0 3,000.00 for untitled , two titled , no hips , hips with no proof, hips that were bad, but breeder swore they were good, until customers vet got the papers, showing different and the xrays with it,,,,]

Without Veronica and several others here, my customer would have paid in excess of 8,000.00 for a home companion and a dog for her family.

Nate Harves came up with a wonderful boy for my family from Germany, and they are pleased as punch and they didnt pay but under 4,000.00 ,with dog being 23 months old..

Do not fall for those prices..That is a sport or a breeding or a show animal and being sold for that. price. Unbelievable ,if you have that kind of money, by all means,,donate to an animal rescue fund for Christmas , not Peta , either.

When breeders advertise their dogs, they think the sky cant fall..That is their priviledge to ask what they want and to think their dog hung the stars and the moon,    But for a family , pet , companion and protector...the sky and the moon and the stars dont cost any 12,000.00 or 15,000..

I didnt even look at Ben, Diego or any other dog, Dont need to. Breeder may get that to someone who wants to buy a pedigree and a dog that has names behind it..  I dont know anything about either dog or the breeders.  Just not the dog for this family, unless they just have money to use or have a money tree in their back yard..I have not found my tree , yet.

IMO   the poster doesnt need to spend that kind of dough,,,doe, or hen scratch for a gsd of quality for his needs.

Thanks very much to everyone for their very valuable input. We really appreciate it. Through you posts I now have a sense of the red flags to look out for. I've only been a member of the board for over a month, but I learned today that this board is much like the German Shepherd dog; vigilant and protective.

Blessings to you all.

I will just tell you that, run dude run. If you looking for a companion dog don't spend so much money, there are better dogs for 10% of what you are about to pay. First dog is nice I like his look but he has nothing but the looks 3 year old and only BH not worth more than 3k in my opinion, the second one I would not want him even for 15 dolars that's right 15.00. If you looking for good companion, etc. Contact Steve Simpkins at www.haussimpkins.com he will put you through some good people that will get you exactly what you want he dose not b/s and he alway delivers on his word. Good luck remember that good dog is not the one with high price tag, but the one that is right for your situation and needs and sometimes the 1k dog will do that just fine. Contact Steve you won't be dissapointed he is the only guy I honestly can say is not in it for money, and never b/s about anything, even if you don't want to buy anything just call him and see if he can sugest you anything good guy to have on your side. Good luck :)
