FINALLY... just this evening did the last of the snow melt from our deck.  I'm talking we still had some snow this morning, still had remnants this afternoon, then finally tonight it was all gone.  Finally.  Or was it....

So just now I was turning all the lights out and getting in bed, when what to my wondering eyes did appear... but a suspicious white tint to the deck outside... It couldn't be.  It just COULDN'T.

I turned on the outside light.

It's freakin' SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It ain't nevuh gonna stop.  It's the Day After Tomorrow or whatever that movie was called, where Hell, er, New York froze over.

 Jayne,

Don't get too comfortable. We are about to get hit with a huge storm, perhaps 10-20 inches of snow, blizzard condtions, and it will be coming to your neck of the woods in a few days, and the perhaps onto Chicago!

Be prepared. This storm may cause us to loose power and even do structural damage because it will be the heavy, wet stuff. I am too old for this!

in case you're interested:  the correct term is actually "climate change".  the media grabbed on to the phrase "global warming" but it's misleading.  we'll in all likelihood end up there but the process is - wacky weather (colder colds and warmer warms) with the yearly averages getting progressively warmer.  so "global warming" is an over simplified & misleading concept - leave it to the media to hang their hats on over-simplistic rhetoric.
