Barb,
This is sooooooooo funny!
If people only knew!

Too bad, though, that this thread about Strut and the excellent work you and Randy are doing with her has turned in to a bunch of ridiculous crap!!!

Talk to you soon!

Well If what Held says is true then both  my Ball Crazy dogs are Stressed each time i throw the Ball On a Rope for them There ears go back when they get the ball and race about,
Tell the Pup  to release the Ball and her ears go up, Give her the ball again and her ears go down again
Laddie she is showing signs of Pleasure and being  Happy, Not Stress as you say Stop looking at the Videos and go to some training Clubs with your Dogs see things in real life then you may pick up the real facts

Strut looks great!  Thanks for having the guts to post a table video.  Nice work!

I was only asking questions. Although I agree with 4-pack, I think it's some aerodynamics involved lol

Seriously, very nice dog and a very proactive owner. Edit.

BabyEagle,
Just so you're sure, no one is giving you a hard time about your questions. It is good that people like yourself are asking legitimate questions because they want to know what is going on in the video.

Baby Eagle,
You have some very good questions, perhaps we should start a new thread and discuss them.  This way we don't hijack this one any further.    Or if you prefer PM me and I'll give you my thoughts, FWiW.  I did want to respond to your questions but got a little side tracked.

I like to thank Barb for sharing Strut table training on the forum.  Being a novice with a keen interest in various approaches to training, this topic has invoked the crucial discussion about reading the dog.  Though there are opposing views, it does illustrate the knowledge and experience it takes to bring the best out of the dog.

Good luck with Strut's training which I'm sure in time will show her full potential.  Thank you for all the contributions guys & gals.  Now where's my Roger Abrantes?

ps. I like the aerodynamics point of view (hee, hee)

Well,it seems that what i am trying to say here is going over most pepole's head.Which is fine for i do not expect any better.
You have people like Steve1, Who hangs around people like Ronny and Rinus, yet he does not know when a dog puts his ears down and when it does not and what it all means what his female is showing him,and i am not talking about when the dog is running,is submissive behaviour, but i know he has got no clue about this and that is ok and nothing new where is Steve1 is concerned.

Also Slamdunc and some others said "ALL DOGS PUT THEIR EARS DOWN WHEN THEY BITE",first let me just say that you could not be more wrong secondly let me give you examples Slamdunc,go Nates'web site Sportswaffen and watch a young dog name HUGO is being worked properly and in right drive and lok at the ears Slamdunc at no point are down very confident dog among others.I am only going to give you good exmaples because i know you have seen too many bad ones and that is all you know.

Also go on Hagenmuhle kennel in germany and watch their young dogs being worked in defence and watch the ears again not down before the bit or at the time of the bite,DOG NAMES Bosco,Cliff, his sister Casha to name a few.

Slamdunc just so you know, any training of young dogs should among other things instill confident and not shake up the confident. I have given you examples to show you my point.

Adlerbach, the list of so called well know trainers you sent i do not know any of them except one and the main reason i respect him is because of a dog he once owned. Have a nice one.
