DDR-DSH

by DDR-DSH on 11 April 2010 - 21:04

MollyandJack.. Yes, it was VERY sad.. tragic, really. But, you only have to read about it.. I had to live it. I was very suicidal for a long time after this happened. That gradually subsided, over time, as I suspected it would. But, grieving takes a LOT of time.. seven to ten years is average. For the first two months, I was having mental imagery of myself, hanging.. on average of every five minutes. I've been told I am a strong lady.. I don't really think so. But, this took strength to get through, believe me. Considering that the first time in my life I EVER thought of suicide was when our daughter died, and that these dogs were a big part of my recovery, then seeing them all in that sad state that they were in in the public impound, and dying, while I was forced to stand by helplessly.. That just tore the wounds all right open, again!

I did actually manage to get most of the dogs out, which almost never happens in these cases. There were many small triumphs along the way. I was basically forced to take a plea as a matter of pragmatism.. But, it stays on my record, now.

Basically, I took the felony plea for my husband.. HE was the one who let that one dog starve down like that.. the term is "exertional myopathy". She just ran herself down, and said nothing to me about it until she was on death's door. I got her back, but little good it did. The "Pet-NAZI's" came for her, and all of them. Many dogs died as a result.

I'm sorry to "out" my husband, but he has just caused too much trouble for me. We've been married for almost forty years, now, and believe me.. It was not easy. He's basically a nice guy, with a little bit of a dark side (as we all have?), but his intentions are good. He got involved too much with bad stuff earlier in his life, but he was clean and sober at the time this happened, for a good ten years. I have finally come to realize that he must have ADD (attention deficit disorder). This is the only explanation. He means to do the right thing, but sometimes, he's just on another planet. He's a great companion.. I have to say that, and it's probably why we've stuck together, all these years. I like to say that we could have nothing between us but an old beater of a car to sleep in and a can of beans (with no opener) and two dollars in change under the floormats (for gas) and we'd have a great time, talking and laughing, telling stupid jokes. I don't know about you all, but to me, that's priceless!!!!

So, that's the long and short of it.. Except for one thing.. They came after ME, because I was the breeder...

This is why YOU should be concerned. They are after all of you.. I just got to be their poster child for a turn.

4pack.. The number was 57.. That is the truth.

Now, my turn.. Do you think that I really WANTED to have 57 dogs? Why would I?

by Schaferhunden on 11 April 2010 - 21:04

OMG now the husband.

I'm going to have to leave this alone for now. I really have things to do. Which goes to responsibility.. This is NOT important to me. It's important to YOU, but only some of you will be able to see that. These are the ones I am talking to. I will never convince the ankle-biters, and I don't care to..

Anyway.. Anyone can get onto these lists and blogs and the activists do that and make a lot of trouble. They WANT to see us all put under in our community. So, just take that into consideration. They will play the adversarial role for all it's worth.. .

I actually do have a life, and I have to get to it, right now.. Bye!

OK now I don't understand how someone who doesn't want 57 dogs, ends up with 57 dogs. Please don't tell me, to save them.

by Schaferhunden on 11 April 2010 - 21:04

4pak i think she is saying 57 is better then 64. OMG

by hodie on 11 April 2010 - 21:04

Bullshit and more delusion. YOU were the one people dealt with (and still are) and you were the one breeding litters (many) and YOU were responsible for these 60 PLUS dogs and let them lie in filth, starve, develop infections, not just for a day while you were at work, but for weeks at a time, if not months. One could not get the stench out of the dog's coat because they had been lying in filth for so long. Urine burns on the belly? People saw it. There were no people out to get you. Many people have many dogs and don't treat them as you did (and likely still do). You are a nut case. No one is fooled now.

You need to get some help, DDR. For the record, if you don't have like half a dozen hired helpers, you CANNOT properly care for 57 dogs. Trying to pretend that you could is just another symptom of an abnormal mind-set, like you think you are Super Kennel Dude......and I have to say, these freaking treatises you/your wife keep writing are another symptom. I sure don't hate people with mental disorders, but you need to ADMIT TO YOURSELF that thinking you can care for that many dogs is LUNACY. I also think you would do best if you just stopped coming on here writing about being tortured as a teen and the various other novellas that I am embarrassed to know about. Don't tell us about your hoarding, we already know, and we know it's a mental disorder, no way around it. Stop posting and start taking responsibility for your actions. STOP ACQUIRING ANIMALS. Normal people know how many is too many. Stop telling us your stories and your excuses; go DEAL WITH your problems.

And, Hodie.. I hate to think that you are a liar, but you are saying that you saw anything? You were there? I don't think so..

Well, word to the wise for anyone is simply NOT to get involved in raising dogs. There's nothing in it for anyone, really. You cannot imagine the amount of work involved. Animal control people can't do it, either. No one can. You cannot predict or control business cycles, which do occur. Any other kind of a business can go down and it's sad but the inventory is sold off and that's the end of it.

Raising dogs.. for any reason.. is best left to the Chinese and offshore countries. There won't be much dog breeding going on in the future, in the USA. Too many laws, too dangerous and easy to get into trouble. Good intentions don't count for anything. They will always exaggerate and make lies, lie in court, hide witnesses and all their other tricks, so there is no chance for you to win or exonerate yourself. If anyone wants to know where this is going, I can tell you.. I've done the research and I know. It's not good, folks.. Not good..

Believe me, guttershipes and ankle-biters. You are piss in a bucket. I've been through much, much worse in life. You don't matter to me. Go take a flying F at at rolling donut!

by VomMarischal on 11 April 2010 - 21:04

No, what you are describing isn't "raising dogs." It's PUPPY MILLING. I have no problem caring for two dogs all the time, and an extra few puppies every 3 or 4 years. NOBODY SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN PUPPY MILLING. Stop feeling sorry for yourself and just STOP ACQUIRING DOGS.

By the way, you wrote "You cannot predict or control business cycles, which do occur." This means that your status as a puppy mill is rock solid. YOU are the reason I have to rehome so many messed up GSDs, and Steph and Hodie and the others who clean up after you. KNOCK IT OFF.
