Fred really likes to hear himself talk.

Hans how many Shilos do you own if you think they are so great, I don't see any advertised on your site.

She can breed what she wants, If she can get suckers to buy them and drink her koolaide go for it. She may be the PT Barnum of the 21 st Century.

One thing about them they are furry creatures who could be used to dust your floors,

by TessJ10 on 28 May 2010 - 18:05

No reason to be mean about it.  I think a lot of breeds are great dogs even though I don't own them, so that doesn't mean anything.  I'm sure a lot of the Shilohs are sweethearts.  My point with the Shilohs is presenting them as the "real" German Shepherds, when the real German Shepherds are doing just fine, thank you.

And as for picking ticks off them, I imagine it would be the same as getting them off any long-coated breed.

by wrestleman on 28 May 2010 - 20:05

Not being mean just stating the obvious. They are Shills not GS and in no way resemble a GS. They are not the Real German Shepherd and she has not improved anything with the breed other than creating a SHILO Dog......a designer breed and if she wants go for it but why would she advertise them as the old style shepherd when they are not.......

I agree with you, wrestleman, which means that my beef is with the breeder, not the actual dogs themselves.  The breeder will be called out every single time she tries to bamboozle about the hip ratings, and she'll be called out every single time she says "they're the GSD of my youth" and in the next breath, "they're not GSD, they're a totally different breed."

But as for the actual dogs themselves, no, I don't think they're only good for dusting floors, and I don't think they look lobotomized.  To insult living animals with such exaggerated criticisms takes away from the legitimate criticism of the Shiloh breeders.

Tina, If memory serves me correctly, you asked for help from the gsd breeders on this board, you stated splinters were breeding shilos to gsd and selling them as shilo's.Well the fact is anyone can breed any dog they choose to another dog and there is nothing anyone can do about it,whether they like it or not is irrelevant. If anyone knows this to be a fact, you should,we all know that a lot of people disagree with your breeding program, but nobody has the ability to prevent you from doing it. Having said that,it should be apparent to you that nobody here has control of what another does. You can't prevent it,I can't prevent it and nobody else on this board or in the world for that matter can prevent it.The only people who can prevent it are the people that are doing it and apparently they see the need to cross your dogs back to the gsd line, and they are free to do so if they choose, gsd breeders who choose to breed their dogs to shilo's are free to do that also. The plain simple truth is people can breed their dogs anyway they choose and nobody has the power to do a damn thing about it period. The bottom line is there are people that will do anything to make a few bucks and if that involves the shilo shepherd,so be it.You did the same thing with the gsd when you crossed it with the malamute, the difference being the gsd was a recognized breed when you did it. I can see your point after the years you've invested to create the shilo, but I'm fairly sure Max would have felt the same way about his breed. BTW, before you tell me how the American showline breeders ruined the gsd,let me say,I'm well aware of how some breeders can ruin a breed, seems your just now finding that out,the hard way it seems.                                                                                                                           Michael

Michael49:
Yes, they  can crossbreed Shiloh with cats of goats; just do not call the result of such breeding  Shiloh shepherd. Same as Tina does not call Shiloh shepherds by the name of German Shepherd dogs.
Also
I may be wrong, but Shiloh shepherd is a trade mark owned by Tina.
Thus she is protective of her creation.
By the way,  there is an "H" on the end of the word Shilo"H". Maybe, if you want to criticize something, at least you should  learn how to spell it. It will add weight to your criticism.  Just a friendly suggestion.

Michael49 -- From what I see here, most of you guys like bashing me & my dogs -- but nobody seems to care that YOUR people are breeding to them in order to get more money for their GSD mixes -- what a shame that you could care less about THAT!

IF ANYONE HERE WANTS TO LEARN THE TRUTH  ABOUT MY DOGS -- READ MY  http://www.originalshilohshepherds.com/
