I also think my puppy's father is a pretty handsome boy!

Holey moley, he's HUGE!  And I agree, handsome.  I was thinking he's a bit overweight but not sure as I'm not familiar with what the "standard" is.  Are they heavier bodied?

GSDtravels, he's about 130 lean pounds and 31 inches tall. His handler is 'vertically challenged' (she's only about 5' tall) so that makes him look bigger than he is. The long coat makes him look bigger (fatter) than he is too. He's never been overweight.

I provided a link to the breed standard in my first post. Check it out to see the height and weight standards. I can't quote them from memory, and I'm SUPPOSED to be packing to get ready to move!

Rik, that's SOME 'couch potato':   www.pedigreedatabase.com/gsd/bulletins_read/360366.html

Also, ask the above dog's owner about the univited caller (saleslady or evangelist, I forget which) that looked like they were going to push their way into her home, and left with brown undies, after Nero (the above dog) lunged towards her and gave a big "WOOF!"

NO ONE enters Nero's home uninvited!

LOL, I'm even more vertically challanged than she is.  I think that's why people think Drake is bigger than he actually is.  I'd say, although I've never had him offically measured, that he's up to an inch over standard.  But I've seen much bigger GSDs so I don't view him as huge.  I'd rather have had him in standard, but I think I'll keep him anyway.    I'll check out the link, you better get that packing done!

I came from a family who have always owned ONLY  german shepherds .. I have been around them my whole life.
NOW i have a HUGE BIG HEADED MALE MALE GORGEOUS HUGE BONED ATHLETIC HEALTHY  PROTECTIVE COMPANION.
                                                                                  A shiloh....
My breeders responsibilty is to provide a healthy, huge robust dog....which the   strict breeding in the ISSR does  what they are breeding  for.   THAT is why the ISSR SHILOH has such a demand! There really are happy folks out there with shilohs..and not all are couch duty dogs.   RESENTMENT FOLKS OR JEALOUSY that YOUR DOGS ASS IS FALLING OFF!
FYI :) My shiloh is very  happy to  win  in the ring,,,,  and has done so.
Hey you calling  my dog a  couch duty dog ?????? because you  WOULD NOT ENTER MY YARD WITH " THOR " ON DUTY.

Saying ALL Shilohs are couch duty dogs is totally false, and ridiculous and you know that.
This simply is not truth. The right to speak freely on this forum, and give a fair objective opinion is VALUED
to those who wish to learn...even if they do not have or wish to have a shiloh.

I see Shilos every where in shelters, where something has bred with a Malamute or A German Shepherd  Same thing that Tina is selling..... Mutts who make nice soft family pets. So why not just adopt from a shelter. its the jimmy Jones koolaid thing all over again... She has her followers and believers who have drank the poison.....

As for size -- Nero IS a 30 incher -- right on -- just like Acer!  I have him listed on FB -- that is his mature pic, standing in front of a very tall girl (I think she is 5'6 or taller because she is exactly as tall as my grandson)  http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=366448323745&ref=ss  I plan to get more pics of him this summer!  If you want to see a 30" female, check out our  http://www.webring.com/hub?ring=shilohsattheshow

And just notice how many drank the Koolaid and signed on this forum in the last few days to engage in their defensive bs. Oh well, this happens every time the Shiloh issue comes up...
