Repeat breeding, u and x litters, 8 months apart????

by gucci on 10 November 2010 - 11:11

I have some of Andrea's dogs,  Won't breed males until 18 Mons.,   All of my dogs from Andrea are really good dogs,  super drives,  good nerves and great temperament..  Am extremely happy with them,  purchased a female in whelp from her,  got really nice,  nice  puppies from her, of which I have kept 3,  The line goes very well with mine, as Dana goes back to Amigo,  on both sides of her pedigree, which was my Gucci's grandfather.. I wish you well with your dog...Lida

 Wlpool,

I made a search on von Nimbus prior to contacting Mrs Andrea Betz and I found a thread (recommended breeders) where you highly praised von Nimbus:
http://www.pedigreedatabase.com/german_shepherd_dog/bulletins_read/293718.html?pagen=1#293809

I know and understand that you think good of this kennel but she did not tell me the dog was living somewhere else and she did not measure him and does not know his height.

 TarekAllam,

I did not actually pay attention to the X and U litters thing and I am not sure of breeders practices or rules regarding repetitive litters and necessary gaps in between.
In regards to Xaro, I did not breed him he is still a baby and needs much more time to mature, I was only making mating tests, that is all and after sometime today I will remove the imaginary litter. Thanks.

To tell the truth I was hesitant to post this issue on the PDB, I usually do not like confrontations and quarrels but my wife insisted that I tell others on same site Xaro was advertised and I got same opinion from one of my good knowledgable friends.

I got two replies via e mail from Mrs Andrea, here they are in blue:

1st one

2nd one

I did and do not ask for any material thing from you like money refund or replacement or anything of the sort, all I claimed is a simple honest answer to my question. You answered me (whether it is honest or not I leave it to all to judge for themselves) and anyone can refer back to my previous posts on this thread and I am very sure he is not more than 60 cms even if a child measures him he wouldn't measure more than that. I feel obliged so others can again make a judgement for themselvesto post some pictures. Tell you what, he even looks bigger in the pictures you sent me at the time of purchase than the dog I see in front of me.

After I post the set of pictures I am done with this issue and will not bother you anymore, and lastly thank you for the reply and I hope you truly believe in the content of your reply.

P.S: lodaing the pictures might take me sometime, sorry for that.

beautiful dog Ibrahim. Structure appears (in pic) to be very good, esp. shoulder construction. back is straight and not "roachy". rear is not overdone.

hope things work out. I would give it more time. If you measured correctly, it is unlikely that he will grow 5cm. from this age. still, different dogs can have different growth rates, outside of the "norm".

You will not know the final result for a few more months.

best,
Rik

Gorgeous dog...

I guess size does matter...If you are not going to return this dog, than why all this questioning...you are obviously very intelligent man and therefor would have been able to predict that no one was going to admit to any wrong doing, and posting things like that publicly would have not produced any positive resolution....you have had to know that..people get defensive when questioned especially in public and I think after this post you are definitely not going to get anything positive from a breeder...

as for evidence unless you had a ruler next to your dog, no one here is in a position to say yes this dog looks 63cm...it's just not gonna happen.... : if you tell us you are 6'3 feet tall than dog looks tall, if you are 5 feet tall than dog looks short...it's unfair to you or breeder for us to judge by info you provided.
