I can't wrap my head around the term "oops litter". I'm assuming that individuals dogs,  of opposite sex, run free in homes and properties. OK, I get that, but most of us are in tune with our dogs, one would assume that one would know exactly when our females come into season, from their behavior and for sure the males, I understand that a dog that is housed else where, ones control over that bitch would be limited, but a dog in your care, having a "oops litter", I'm not buying it, you know exactly when your bitch is in heat and you make a choice to seperate her or not from a male. I would respect someone more by stating, " I bred the dogs, like it or lump it"!
Then to call it a "oops litter".

darly, don't know where your post to me went, but yes, I can wrap my head around what breed surveys, KKL, Sch titles, ZW  mean. My dogs have them all.

You are the ultimate fakker as far as the GSD is concerned.

The system's a farce, catering to egos, money, and cheaters.  Difference is, unlike you, I haven't wasted decades of time figuring that out with the wrong side of the breed.

daryl, the difference is that you haven't spent decades proofing anything with your dogs.

Right or wrong, I have the proof of my dogs in the competition I chose.

And I will proof them in the competion I choose now.

That is what you do not understand. It is one thing to tell the world what you know, it is another to present your dogs and let the world judge.

Whatever the minimal accomplishmests of my dogs, I present them for the world to judge. You just run your yakker.

Well said Rik
There are people who try and improve the Breed and there are people who talk the good talk but sit on there asses and never attempt to do anything with there dogs in any shape or form , Many do not have a clue as to the temperament or true stability of there dogs, Simply because the Dog has never done anything to test it,
Many are Couch potatoes, and the Owner says MY dog has a great Temperament, It is laughable really when you read such stuff

Simply a matter of choice, and "achievement" has never been important to me.  I don't need a framed certificate on the wall or a trophy on the mantle.  It's the journey, what I've learned from all the types of training I've done working with my dogs, how to evaluate heritable potential, and produce on that.  I provide plenty of training activities to occupy myself and my dogs outside the venues of "official" competition, leaving YOU to do all the prancing about, "telling the world what you know".  You just don't seem to get that I don't care if I $ell another dog as long as I live, I will be breeding them and training them, my way, my rules.

This is the perfect thread for people like Daryl and others to yak about the excuses why they can't/won't title or prove their dogs before breeding, or follow any rules about breeding this breed of dog.  People like Daryl should be breeding Maltese, or Pom-a-poos - breeds that can be sold with no titles, health or temperament testing for $1200 a pup - they are not doing this breed any service nor the persons who buy puppies from them without knowledge of the crap they could be buying.

I on the other hand am one of many breeders (as an example) who does make an example.  I breed dogs that are titled, health checked, conformation rated, breed surveyed - always.  I have bred (as an example) since 1995, and have never (not one time, never, nada) had an "oops" accidental or otherwise bred dogs together that were not all of the above (titled, health checked, conformation rated, temperament tested).   Not one time. I for one take "oops" excuses with a big grain of salt.  I'm sure it does happen legitimately once in a while - but certainly not often as with Daryl and other breeders who simply don't care, they do what they want and sell their puppies to people who also don't care or who are ignorant.

Too bad for the breed, and for the people who must be educated by buying a crap puppy first, then learning the hard way what to look for in their next choice of breeder.  I see that all the time.

Does not care if he ever breeds another Pup so that means in the past he has bred them without health certs etc including Joints and any proven work ability, What a bloody good advert for a German Shepherd owner you are to be sure
Matey you are a true Cop out artist and not worth a grain of salt to the breed, now say what you want but it will not change what you are and others who think the same way as you do.

Actually, I did title her after she was of age.  And before you criticize the AKC and AHBA herding venues as usual, I didn't see you out training Brix.  You sent him away to be trained.  You might have more active working dogs on the street, but I wouldn't be shocked if your percentage is much lower, since you breed at least several litters to my one.  The kind of example you set is the exact reason I'm not a commercialized pet peddler like you, playing that charade for any damned "accomplishments".

No Steve, actually I haven't ever intentionally done so, if you'd read the damned posts.  But I'm GOING TO.  And read closely; I said I don't care if I SELL another pup, I'm still going to BREED.
