Yesterday some of our Club Members went over to a club in Antwerp and we were joined by a Unit of the Police force, who did some Demos with there Dogs in this case Mals. They did a bit of the Ring Sport and The Guy in the Suit was a huge man and it being a warm day he suffered a bit in his suit, Jumping over a Fire to attack etc, Three Dogs On him at one go very interesting to watch and enjoyable. After they finished our Club Members did some Protection work.
My Brother with Gina did the ScH 1 Protection phase, and i did a little bit with Hektor on a Rag,
More experienced Dogs did the whole ScH3 Protection.
After it was over many members of the public who were watching bought they Dogs on one by one different Breeds from Small to G.S dogs and according to age and size we let them have a bite on a Rag, Tug or small soft Sleeve, The Children bought there dogs on to have a bite if they were inclined to and the Helper gave them a lot of time they thoroughly enjoyed it the Kids i mean as well as the grown ups at having a go with there Dogs. We finished off the day with a Barbecue, overall a very nice friendly day and who knows perhaps another one or two supporters later on of the Sport

Oh, that all looks and sounds like a GRAND TIME!!     Excellent PR, too, with the kids and letting the pet dogs have a go at the helper.  I am sure that one outing will lead to (1) more educated members of the public  (2)  some very happy kids and dogs and (3)  potential future members of our little dogsport community.  A win-win all around!!
