I dunno, maybe a possibility.

I think if anything it will stay as I posted it - simply because, everything I post is controversial when law enforcement is involved with killing pets. Police misconduct I follow with passion, I make alot of enemies along the way. The more trouble I get into with you - the better some feel. I suddenly hear steel bars slamming in my head. lol

I honestly had no intention to violate your work or deprive you of income. I do post articles like yours alot various places on the internets the same way I posted yours here, for years. No author has ever said anything to me about copyright infringment.

Now that I know, in the future I will post article "snippets" to include a linkback in my posts.

I hope you stick around these parts, this is prolly the best dog forum on the internets, maybe you can post your own articles.

Again, I'm sorry and good luck to you and yours. Today I will spend some time getting you traffic and click threws .. this story needs to go viral anyhows.

Welcome to the Pedigree Data Base !!

Neither version of the story is very informative as to WTF happened there. Headlines scream,"her only crime being old", yet story states 6 years old, litter of pups. Like I said, the THIRD side of this story is totally missing, and, is more than likely, the REAL story.

Pay no attention to the fact that the neighbor thought the dog was in distress enough to call the police in the first place. Forget that the owner Billy Jo is quoted as saying they were  "expecting the dog would be dead soon". Forget that the husband thought the dog was suffering or he wouldn't have GIVEN PERMISSION for the dog to be put down. Forget that the  cop actually helped bury the dog in the back yard. Let's go with the "shot by police for being old" angle :-( The original story and this topic are disgusting IMO

Two different stories; two different dogs.  I saw no reason to start yet another new thread for a similar incident.

Dobermannman  I am NOT anti cop or anti police. I am however pro US Constitution and when police shoot and kill innocent pets on their own property it is evident the US Constitution seized to be relevant a long time ago.

My only driving force is to bring awareness - and that THIS IS A PROBLEM.

Since when is it the duty of a Peace Officer to execute at midnight an old dieing dog after a complaint by a neighbor - when the owners both decided to let her live out her old age peacefully.

What are you saying Dobermannman, that as dog owners, we no longer have the right to allow old age in a dog and the final decision comes at midnight by the police because of a neighbor who thought the dog should die after they call police ?

Not only that, but it's obvious the Police cought the owners off guard at midnight, while the dog was sleeping comfy and prolly pressured them into compliance.

WTF.

Sorry Keith, I missed that. The first story is totally lacking enough info to actually get any "gist" of what really went on there, and the second story does appear to be a totally disturbing action .

In this article itself, cops just didn't just barge onto the property and shoot someones dog at midnight because it was old as you'd like us all to think.

from the few things actually reported on, it seems the dog was in poor enough shape the cops were called and the owner GAVE PERMISSION to have the dog put down.  he then helped bury they dog.

Another dog dead in Ohio on August 3, 2012

Why is it
people with no badge who inadvertently kill a dog would be charged with negligent homicide ?

Ohh and didn't they just pass a law in Ohio recently categorize police dogs as regular members of the police force ? So why isn't the policeman in question being charged with murder ?

I found 34 dead dog stories by police since August 3 and 14 of them were police dogs killed because of heat stroke being left in the police cruiser today is only August 6th -  THIS IS A PROBLEM !!!
