I wouldn't expect people like that to answer any calls or texts unless it was someone that came bearing money. I think it may still be worth it to notify AC because from the looks of it, I'd be willing to bet she has no food or access to water. EDIT: That is a good way to get more info Fawn, let us know if they respond with anything. Maybe you can also pretend that you are interested in buying the mom and see if they would be willing to part with her.

Those poor puppies are dirty and it seems like someone has chopped their ears off. (I really hope thier cut ears don't get infected living in such a dirty home.) I guess the "breeders" have no clue that the ears would stand on their own and decided to crop them to make them stand up. Backyard breeders at their finest, no doubt about it. I own a nearly 6 month old female black GSD pup and it really upsets me to see another dog so like her, so thin and clearly left to rot. I really hope these people get arrested for animal cruelty.

I really hope that someone saves the mother in time, but looking at her face in the picture, I think she has given up and will most likely will not last long enough to be saved. She most likely has held on long enough for her puppies to be weaned and be able to care for themselves. Sad, but it happens more often then not. I've always thought dog breeding should be more controlled by the govermant so that you had to take classes on proper care of dogs and had to take tests on proper dog breeding and owning to get a license to breed dogs. Hell, you should have to do the same to have kids as some people should not be allowed to breed or care for children. I'm a firm believer in spaying and neutering... Both animals and people.

CA is a couple of hours behind me, so I hope I will get a response after their work hours.  If Bhaugh can go get them..... We all know the owner will not give up the mom without a fight, but money does talk.   Can we all raise enough to "buy" mom, give extra to Bhaugh for food, and get her to a rescue?   Any rescue willing to take her?

OMG thats horrifying! That poor mom>  Since dad and pups look so much better, I wonder if mom has EPI or something else causing her to look on deaths door?  I'm in Ky, so too far away to go check on them, but would offer $$ if someone can get mom out of there!

OMG poor mama and babies, WTH is wrong with some people.  Such horrible conditions, those poor babies don't look healthy either.  I'm in CA but don't have the facilities to quarantine or house rescues  until we move in April.  I would chip in to buy the mom, I'm sure rescue would take her.  If somebody could fool them into giving an adress to "see the puppies", animal control very well may remove mom/puppies, and I'm sure a rescue would step up.  And found this add in the same area, WTF!!!!!?????!!! http://visalia.craigslist.org/pet/3527655812.html

I was right, pups are only a month old.  I did get more info and they might be willing to sell mom.  Phone # is son's and dad owns mom.  They are asking $200 for pups.  I have the address.   As this info is associated to my phone #, are we sure were we are going to go with this?  Can there be any legal issue against me by publishing the address for reporting them?
