Did I miss something? I didn't see where any witnesses or family members said anything. Can someone please post a like where I can see this? Preferably a news video. I find it strange that there are no news videos showing the actual dogs in question. Normally the news media jumps at the chance to show those when a pit bull (or "PIT-MIX" when they can't actually tell what breed it is but has a big head) is actually involved.

I have not seen the dogs and I don't know if I can get pictures, I will ask her. She's pretty good at being able to tell usually what dogs have in them, and she knows pits for sure, she has one. I have not read up on this story, except one article in the local paper and it said that witnesses said they were "pitbull looking", but I had a very badly bred almost all tan German shepherd a while back and people said she was a pit bull..and another beautiful black and tan saddle back that people were calling a Rottie!? If that gives you an idea of what people around here are like.

Also, I don't trust the news one bit. There was a baby killed here by a dog, I believe it was a golden retriever mix, and my aunt was the one who picked it up. When she picked it up, she also had a duck(I have no idea why) in the back of the truck. The newspaper reporter turned it into saying "the family kept chickens in their house" just from seeing the duck in the back of the truck.

Prissy I know what you're saying. The now Ex- dog warden (thank God) in this area circulated a flyer stating the way to tell if a dog was a pit bull was that it would have a large head and be wearing a wide collar. Very definitive criteria to make that list huh? So I guess if you had an APBT and you put a thin collar on it that would mean it's no longer an APBT right? It also stated that if you saw your neighbors "exercising" or walking their APBT's in the evening hours you should report them as dog fighters. So much for being a good dog owner and exercising and socializing your dog after work. The same dog who's been couped up in the house all day waiting for you to get home from a long days work. Couldn't be creating an issue there at all right? Just another fine example of one of those EXPERT, KNOWLEDGEABLE animal control officers. LOL.

The dog warden was allowed to "retired" by city council because of his high kill rate (not allowing any to be adopted) and breed specific agenda on the APBT. The new dog warden has done wonders here. Having established an adoption process for them that has been great. Oddly enough in her last 2 yrs in the post she has never had and issue with any of the APBT's  that she has adopted out to good families.
