I have had mine one year as of christmas. I love it love it love it! I have several GSDs in my house, as well as a side yard loaded with dirt and mud. I am constantly amazed at how well that Dyson works.

Yes LMH: I have mega hair: How about 4 grown Show cockers, parti-color in sun room out of Empires Brooklyn Dodger, a mega coated dog, and 15 gsds that take their turn coming inside, two of which stay indoors to protect their mom and they shed as bad as the cockers, and then when I emprint a puppy or two, they come inside, and I live in the country with three acres, mainly sandy dirt, with two patios, and 300 trees with leaves galore....I love the rainbow and yes u have to change the bowl of water two or three times a day.....dump in flower bed and fill, rinse, put in oil, and they have wheels, and they are a little heavy to carry up stairs, but if they are empty, not bad...I dont have an upstairs, but I moved from a 3000sq ft house into a 1436 cottage with 48 years of retain inclothing and collectibles of housewares galore and I collect everty thing form Pewter to china to pitchers, elephants big and small, german shepherds, pictures by C Burtin Barber, u name it, and the brush of the rainbow takes the dust off and doesnt blow it back into the room......they are expensive but last 30 years as my husbands been dead 24 and he bought the first one, and I now have 2...

Shelley, it sounds as if you could hold a gigantic yard sale. You know what they say on the Home & Garden channel, if you haven't used it in a year, get rid of it and always have doors on the kitchen cabinets LOL.

Wow guys. The New Dyson is put together and my daughter first thing did the dog bed. She said more than hair came out of there. LOL Hidden dirt too. I can't believe how much crap got sicked out of this bed. WE vac it all the time with my old vac and I have washed the cover twice in 8 months since I bought it. Talk about nasty. I didn't get that much stuff out of my carpets doing my whole house. Well off to do the rest of the house. I'm like a kid in a candy store right now!

LOL...........told you so. Can you even identify most it? I couldn't the first time I used mine. My daughter bought one, had to empty the cannister 3 or 4 times the first time she vacuumed her rugs. Her Cocker died 2 years ago and she swears she got some of her hair in that cannister. It's almost embarassing, isn't it?

Actually the carpet wasn't too bad. I'm kinda proud of my ole' Hoover. The Dyson is a bit lighter and easier to push around. Takes some getting used to the buttons and how it works but it really looks simple. I'm going to like it I can already see. MAybe soon I will use it on the dogs themselves.

Okay, I don't want this to get around but I am a cleaning freak also. I like to clean. It's something like building something. You know. You do it and then you look and see what you accomplished, something like that. If you sit around and watch a sports game on TV, then you can't look at it and see anything accomplished. It may be a carry-over from being in the Marine Corps for 8 years. I just like cleaning. My wife cleans a lot also but she does it "superficially", I'm always teasing her with "you call that clean"? It makes her mad :) She always says "it ain't a church". I'm a man and I like cleaning. Shoot me. :) And no, before it is suggested, I am nothing like Richard Simmons or his "type" :)

Vrooommmmmm!!!!My son teases my daughter and myself because we are short, and he comes home and in both our homes, looks on top of the refrigerator and say neither one of us know how to use a ladder......he's 6'4 1/2 tall and we are both barely 5'2"....and he can spots dust and cobwebs that we miss when we clean.....

by Blitzen on 24 January 2007 - 14:01

Shoot you, Do Right? Most of us women would love to marry you....you are the bomb. Let us know if you ever find youself without a house to clean. We'll hold a lottery. Rose, I'm exactly 5 foot, so understand how it is to be descriminated against by tall persons LOL. My husband is 6'1", I just hand him the mop if he sees something I can't.
