One advantage with a more advanced program like KNPV and others is that you need a dog that is not too average in drive to just title, especially if you want to compete with some sucess against mals/dutchies, this can´t be said about just obtaining an IPO-title. If the minimal standard is higher I think also breeders are pushed more for putting workingability as their first priority, as a bonus the show/work split and debate would be unheard of;)

Very true Johan but my experience IPO and GSD people are very breed and program blind , this topic has more value if more mali/ KNPV people will posting not only 1 or 2 in this topic most of the people on this forum are GSD and IPO lovers for me personal is this the end.

still one of my fav threads; shows the whole dynamics of internetting; conjectures based on assumptions based on partial truths laced with misinformation, name calling, rumor, third hand data, chest beating, appeals to authority, appeals to numbers, appeals to popularity, dropping famous names, dropping lists of famous dogs...on and on........and on, yet not a single shred of evidence to back a single word of it either way.

Please tell me what is wrong with Sch,IPO, Ringsport, KNPV, duck hunting or whatever someone wants to do with their dog.
You have missed one question you should ask, and that is what is wrong with your dogs, your training and you. I for one would look forward to the answers.
The point to all of this.. Why are you being as ass, I assure you it is not necessary.

hey man, nothing wrong with any of those things, i like em all + good ol companion dog. anyone doing right by their pooch in whatever venue is a friend of mine. what made you think i had a problem with the venues, makes no sense??
as to the question of why i am an ass-hat, hell if i knew that and cared then i would no longer be an ass and you wouldn't be asking the question. i just thought i was providing some comic relief is all, you see it different?
