While I'm not saying the dogs didn't need to be pulled from that situation, something smells fishy.
They are not letting anyone check out the dogs & only showing photos of happy dogs in good condition...where's the emaciated, malnourished ones???
The real owners of some of these dogs are getting the run around in trying to get their dogs back.
They already have started adopting some of these dogs out without knowing who actually owns them.
Curious as to what Charlene is getting out of this... she sure is in a hurry to rehome these dogs & is trying to keep them out of the public eye.

Northwood  Who is Charlene and what does she have to do with who gets the dogs and when they are allowed to go.

Is there no waiting time before they can be re-homed.

 Who signed over these animals

If this is a legal matter do they not have to hold them for a while before they are let go

Has anyone seen a medical report or pictures of the dogs.

According to the TV Channel website : Some of the dogs were either owned or co-owned by other people including someone from the Netherlands and they are trying to claim their dogs, but that some of the dogs have been placed. Not good if they didn't verify who owned which dogs. All of these dogs will have some type of identification, either tattoo or microchip or both.

They must have signed the dogs over to SPCA, or they would not be able to adopt them out, foster them yes....
Itvwill be a problem for co owners or other owners if this woman signed the dogs off to them.
what a shame

I believe Charlene is also an Am Show line breeder or exhibitor or both.  Another Am show line breeder is taking a male, somehow from this group of dogs.

Just seems a little fishy to me that dogs that were involved in "the worst case of abuse " (sheriff on video) were in good enough condition to be "adopted" out in 1 day after it was determined "they are from top bloodlines worth thousands of dollars".

If someone has too many dogs and it does seem like she only had the one litter on the ground, why not return the leased dogs?  Was there more then one dog that was leased?

Every case is "the worst case they ever seen". I  have seen this go on, far to often. You see them taking animals that look rather healthy alot of times.
Than they want to say, they had  internal and external parasites. Shit, everyones dog has the chance of having them in between treatments
Ain 't that why we treat ours monthly.
Funny how fast the purebreds get "rescued" in cases like this.
Sometimes, I think it is better for the animals if the system would work with the owners to correctva problem, instead of against them.

hey don't shoot the messenger! Maybe it really is the worst case of animal abuse the Sheriff has ever seen[or smelt]. Maybe the Sheriff has more important things to do most days like solve murders, solve rapes, or assist in finding lost children. It is a real problem when someone believes they can get out of money problem by owning ''just one more brood bitch'' so they can sell a litter to be solvent again. There are breeder/handlers/ trainers who do it on a high level, treating dogs and other people well. Let's hope these people do not get splattered by the same paint brush.

I took a look at the website of http://cghs.org/adopt-a-pet/ and tried to find the dogs, but wasn´t able to find pictures? Am I too stupid?
If you click on the "pre approval application" button, that´s what you are able to see:

We appreciate everyone's concern and support in regards to the 39 GSDs from Durham recently brought in to our shelter.
We can't thank you enough!!

We've already received nearly 400 applications to adopt and will no longer be accepting any adoption applications on their behalf.

However, we still have many other fine shelter animals in need of a forever home so perhaps you'll consider
adopting one of these sweet guys ...

Where are you able to see that some dogs already are adopted? Just wondering...

What I do not understand - does a shelter in your country not have to proof identity and ownership of a dog before someone is able to adopt this dog?
I´m pretty sure the Hunterhaus owner told them that not all of these dogs are hers.
