This dog looks as if it hasn't had a good meal in weeks. Good thing his arrogant owners have surrendered him to a shelter. Now he has a chance at getting a home where he will be appreciated. It's important to see that these people never get another GSD. Does anyone know their names?

Kitkat, are you taking him?

The page is gone from Facebook. I can only hope that  means he has been saved.

I do know that a good many dogs DO get saved via Facebook. THAT is one of the best uses for it.

There are groups that save hirses through it also. Sort of restores your faith in some people when you see people, worldwide, get together and even tho they themselves can not save the animal, they pledge money to save these animals.

One thing that really gets me though, is the disappointing criteria many of these shelters/rescues put on these dogs for adoptions.

I had one family get two puppies from me, after their old dog passed away and they needed a new dog for their family.

I found these peopke to be almost God sent...and yet both shelters and rescues turned them away.

I mean really, these people were those I could only wish all pups went with. I get regular updates and pics of very healthy, happy dogs.

Living in the house, fenced in huge yard, doggy doors, good food, plenty of exercise, and on and on

Yet, shelter says "German Shepherds" should not be placed in a home with children....

Trying to get more info Blitzen,  if you find any, send it to me.

IF I CAN HELP HIM, I CERTAINLY WILL...

I noticed the page is gone too. I don't think it's bad policy to not place any breed of dog with a family where there are kids under 3 or 4 years of age unless the parents are experienced dog owners. Let's hope this dog has found a good home.

I agree to an extent Blitzen about 'some' families with children...not a set in stone rule thoogh.

To watch my dogs, and my grandchildren together,  is "priceless' ALL my dogs and puppies are very well socialized with kids.

I won't have a dog that is not kid safe. Even Max said, " I never met a German Shepherd that didn't love children".

This dog is still listed on another webpage dealing with super urgent dogs in NYCAC&C, also has a write up of his assessment.

There also another GS on the super urgent list for this shelter.
