GatorGator

An AKC SL doing bite work.. He's also a V rated AKC CH. Sch3 KKL1, UD with agility titles. Some can do it, but most of their owners aren't interested.

Xeph, they're exactly what I thought you'd get from that breeding--on the whole, nicely balanced pups that aren't extreme, with excellent coloration and markings and from the little bit I can see of them on pup Mikasa and Striker, lovely strong tight and gorgeous little feet as well. Thumbs Up

Jenni, some American line breeders do use letters for their litters, but even for those who don't,  it's actually not too difficult if you research the lines the same way you would the Euro lines...you learn the themes instead of going by the letters. For example, anyone who's into the ASL knows what I'm talking about if I reference the Covy-Tucker Hill 'Spice' litter or Cobert's 'Bird" litter...

For anyone researching pedigrees, on the wider level that arises from breed-curiosity, rather than looking for

the antecedants of one particular dog or mating,  this actually makes it an interesting piece of detection work !

I love playing "guess the theme".

I don't know if there is an American equivalent, but the thing that irritates me most about British registration

records is that our KC allows BYBs and pet homes to name litters without Kennel Names.  They just slap that

year's KC 'affix' on the front.  That's on the front of names like:  Our Cowboy;  Lucky Star;  Lady Sheba;  Prince ...

get the idea ?  These don't turn up in pedigrees of dogs used for Show or Sport or breeding for same, not

very often anyway.  But they are rife if you look through the histories of, for instance, a 'colour' line.

Makes it pretty confusing sometimes, even where you have dates.

Nice pups, and a gorgeous head on that male!

Your female's ears remind me of someone I know, and love... lol!

I've sometimes thought the earsets on the females wind up being more out to the side, just because their skulls are narrower than the males.

Female with good ear set. My current female has a very low ear set and a wider more masculine head. I haven't seen any consistency in the size of the skull and the ear set and carriage.

That female has a black spot on her tongue

Teeth Smile yes she did. She was the canine love or my life, I will miss her forever.

Back to Xeph's puppies, I love their color. I think my favorite is also #2. I really like this puppy's head, the correct parallel lines I think plus a nice front, good length and angle of upper arm and a balanced rear. Can't go wrong with any of them. Toss a coin Teeth Smile. Nice looking sire too.

Xeph

Mikasa is the puppy I kept :)  The other puppy is too much like her mother, and I don't need more of her mother.

I have to admit, I think people gravitate towards the other bitch because she's set up better.  My puppy was being a shit, so she doesn't look as nice as she really is.

That would make a difference for sure.
